Well made, easy to throw, just be mindful of your distance.
These hawks appear to be very well made. I've only thrown them for an hour or 2, but they're a lot of fun and very accurate, and very sharp right out of the box. They are very short, about 11 inches so I started at about 7' from the target (as opposed to about 12' for hatchets) for a 1 rev throw and it worked well. I doubled that, roughly, for a 2 rev throw, then tripled that distance for a 3 rev throw and it worked well. I did have several bounces, but distance is extremely critical and needs to be within an inch or so for the hawks to stick consistently. Since they are shorter and thinner, they spin much faster than a standard hatchet. Just back up and move forward until you've got the distance spot on then throw your heart out! These really need to hit the target "tip in" style so the point of the hawk makes contact and not the full length of the edge. You accomplish this by adjusting your distance. I purchased these because the rubber that is molded around the "handle" seems like a much better design than the ones with that dumb survival cord wrap that always comes off. These are super lightweight so they're probably good for kids and small women who feel that a standard sized throwing hatchet is to heavy.

Super small. Allot smaller than expected..dull as can be. Not good for throwing. 18 out of 20 throws they didn't stick. Think I'll be returning them Ok so not the best but the customer service is amazing. So I changed it to 5 stars

Decent beginner way to lightweight
Still looking for a longer ax that is full tang and has some weight to it for a better velocity so it can be thrown at a farther distance. No idea what the distance is supposed to be for like competition throwing. I’m not interested in competition I’m looking for practical for throwing LOL like a zombie apocalypse weapon BUT these are great for a practice ax only two improvements I can think of as of now would be the fact that the sheath is a real piece of crap definitely not a usable accessory. And being able to add weights to either end or at least one end have the slots so you can dial in the balance you want for your style of tossing. They are priced like a better quality and they are not really close to being high quality but priced like they are quality throwing ax for competition??? I’m sure you would have to go out of your way to abuse them to the point of making them total junk or broken in two is impossible. Once again you get what you pay for so don’t expect them to be something you can chop camp firewood with. Definitely better tools for that job.

Just right!
Our daughter loves throwing axes. I looked at a lot of different kinds. I think we picked a winner with this one. Won't truly know til Christmas. 😊

Broke in half
Disappointing Hawk snapped in half at head (from handle) in first day of use. very sharp. Took effort to get used to the super light weight and small size. Also they would bounce back off the cookie right at you because of over throwing them. Not your normal weight or size hawk and thats a disadvantage. No I'd not buy them again.

My dad loves it!
I got these for my dad for Christmas and he loves them! He’s going to make his own target. Very happy with the purchase.
