Good lens for a good price!
This is my favorite lens to use for wedding videography. Sharp, clear, fast AF, good range for what I do as well. Doesn’t break the bank either!

Surprisingly excellent, fantastic lens for the money
Bought this lens to pair with a Sony A7CII. Although it's a little long with that body, it's still super lightweight and easy to carry around all day, which I did in the Grand Canyon. Autofocus is super fast and silent and the zooming feels great, nice and smooth and well damped. Sharpness is also excellent and overall you just can't beat it for the price, especially if you're looking for that bright f/2.8 aperture.

Good lens for a good price
Amazing lens that takes beautiful photos. The range handles a majority of my shooting needs and the weight of the lens is not too heavy. I’m very pleased with the quality and price and would purchase a Tamron lens again.

Probably one of the best zoom lens on the market.
I find myself gravitating towards grabbing this lens and usually keeping it in my bag or on my camera for a variety of photoshoots. I do a lot of portraiture on-location, and the zoom allows me to quickly adjust in-camera versus cropping later. Build quality: Not overly heavy, has both manual zoom and a manual focus ring. Has a USB-C right on it to update the firmware directly versus through having the camera plugged in. Autofocus: It struggles a little in lower-light situations, or when there are foreground elements but in these artistic shots, you want to be manually focusing anyways. Clarity/Sharpness: For pixel peepers, you are going to run into some chromatic aberrations. This isn't going to be as crisp as a prime lens, either. However, for a zoom lens it does really well. Weather seal: Doesn't seem to have much in terms of a weather seal, I found some dust on my camera sensor after leaving this lens on the body for a couple of days. Would I recommend this lens? Yes. This is a great lens especially for when you need to pack light, or can't bring a variety of prime lens. Being able to go from 28mm-70mm allows for a large range of different compositions you can create with a single lens. This is great for both landscapes, architecture, and portraits. For wildlife, I would probably recommend the 70-200mm lens instead.

Size does matter
I went back and forth for months on what I wanted as my go to lens for when I am only taking one lens with me when out and about. And, after wearing a few different lenses around my neck, I have confidently settled on this Tamron 28-75mm G2 for my Sony A7 IV. The quality and function of the lens is outstanding, and the G2 improvements make it serious competition for Sigma and Sony equivalents. Not to mention the Tamron is the best price of all the lenses mentioned. But one of the main reasons I settled on this lens, other than the focal lengths, is the size and weight. The A7 IV with this lens is light and comfortable to carry around for hours (with a good strap). I was really surprised at how much of a difference it made in my approach to photography, not having unnecessary weight strapped to me. Size and weight absolutely do matter, even when it is just a pound or two. I also considered the Tamron 35-150mm, but that is a bigger and heavier lens too. I have already added the Tamron 70-180mm to my bag for more complete coverage when I am out with a bigger bag of equipment.

Pros: - Versatile focal length range of 28-75mm - Wide maximum aperture of F/2.8 for low-light photography - High-quality optics deliver sharp and detailed images - Compact and lightweight design for portability Cons: - Autofocus performance may not be as fast or precise in certain situations - Some users may prefer additional focal length options Summary: The Tamron 28-75mm F/2.8 Di III lens is a versatile and high-quality option designed for Sony E-Mount cameras. With a focal length range of 28-75mm, it offers versatility for various photography genres, from landscapes to portraits. The wide maximum aperture of F/2.8 enables excellent low-light performance and beautiful background bokeh. However, autofocus performance may not be as fast or precise in certain situations, and some users may desire additional focal length options. This range covers a wide variety of photography genres, allowing users to capture everything from expansive landscapes to close-up portraits with a single lens. The wide maximum aperture of F/2.8 is a significant advantage, particularly for low-light photography. It enables the lens to gather more light, resulting in better exposure and image quality in challenging lighting conditions. Additionally, the wide aperture creates a pleasing background blur (bokeh) effect, adding a professional and artistic touch to the images. The lens utilizes high-quality optics to deliver sharp and detailed images. It minimizes optical distortions and aberrations, ensuring excellent image quality throughout the focal length range. Another advantage is the lens's compact and lightweight design, which enhances portability and makes it suitable for various shooting situations. This makes it an ideal choice for photographers who value mobility without sacrificing image quality. However, the autofocus performance of the lens may not be as fast or precise in certain situations compared to some higher-end options. While it generally performs well in most scenarios, it may struggle in challenging or fast-paced situations that require quick and accurate focusing. Additionally, some users may desire additional focal length options, such as wider angles or longer telephoto capabilities. The 28-75mm range covers a significant focal length span, but those with specific photography needs may find the range limiting. In summary, the Tamron 28-75mm F/2.8 Di III lens offers versatility, high-quality optics, and excellent low-light performance for Sony E-Mount cameras. Its focal length range, wide aperture, and compact design make it a versatile tool for various photography genres. Perfect zoom lens for travel
The zoom lens is perfect for vacation, family or travel. It is compact, light weight but solid. The Autofocus and eye auto focus are fast and reliable. The photos are super sharp. Another good point is that firmware and some features can be updated or changed effortlessly via the water proof usb C port. I am very pleased with the lens performance and the reasonable price!

I’ve been using the Tamron 28-75mm F/2.8 Di III VXD G2 (Sony E mount) on my recent trips, and here’s how it’s held up in real world conditions: What I like: Great sharpness in the center across the zoom range. The constant f/2.8 aperture gives flexibility in low light. Close focusing is strong — I can get nice detail shots without switching lenses. Autofocus is fast and reliable, even tracking moving subjects. Build feels solid for outdoors. The moisture resistance and fluorine coating help when things get wet or dusty. It’s lighter than many zooms in this aperture class, which really helps when hiking or portaging. What could be better: Corners are softer wide open, especially at 28mm. No image stabilization — handheld shots in dim light are harder. The lens extends when zooming toward 75mm, so I’m extra careful with dust and bumps. In extreme contrast (bright sun + dark shadows), I see some flare. Overall it deserves 5 stars hands down. It's affordable and the quality it provides is outstanding. I honestly prefer this over the sigma 24-70 mm. Its smaller does the same thing and adds a little extra zoom. Best lens I own for sure! (Photos below for the quality it provides)
