HP Color LaserJet Enterprise MFP M577f with Fax (B5L47A)

Fantastic "do it all" color all-in-one for family or "home office" use! We've used this for 8 months now and every feature we've used has been flawless (don't use wireless or fax). No jams or mis-feeds and it's seen hundreds of pages of Avery labels (bought the expensive ones that are recommended for laser printers), hundreds of pages of very heavy "card-stock" paper (loaded in side tray), and thousands of two-sided pages printed on normal 8.5x11 paper. Auto-feed and flat bed scanning both work great and the large color touch screen control is VERY easy for all family members to use. Pros: fast printing, awesome 2-sided color scanner (which emails PDF to yourself or others), low cost per page for consumables, very durable build quality (way better build quality than typical "home" printers and all-in-one devices) Cons: It's huge (in a home or even home office setting); built-in stapler is simply an electric stapler in the front of the printer (I didn't read the fine print and thought that including a stapler meant that it would collate and staple documents like our large Canon printer does at work); color quality is pretty good for a laser printer but it seems to print a bit dark vs. our ink jet photo Epson printer Other: we paid less than 1500 back in January '17 and I'm not sure that we would have chosen this same option at the new pricing (showing over 2000 dollars now)

At month five this machine started having problems. HP said I didn’t have a warranty on it, seller ,laser supplies, never contacted me back when I asked them why I didn’t have a warranty. I proved to HP that I had had this machine less than a year and they honored the warranty. HOWEVER now going on five months later this machine is still not fixed. I’m at the total mercy of HP which by the way you can only communicate with by email for warranty issue. After numerous Ridiculous diagnostic rituals they put us through and three parts replaced on this new machine it still doesn’t work, now I’m being told it’s a belt. This whole experience has been a nightmare and I still don’t have a machine that can print a normal copy. All I can say is run far away! I will NEVER buy an HP product again. Thank God for the $100 epson unit we purchased at Sam’s so business could still carry-on! Quality is poor and HP customer service is the worst ! Amazon do you want to step in and help me out on this one? 😤

Not sure why the previous reviewers are giving it one star. This thing is a work horse. I have definitely put it through some massive printing jobs and it does not skip a beat. I just ordered a second one after having the last one for almost a year. Yeah the toner should be cheaper but otherwise the printer works well for scanning, printing, copying and faxing. Not much to complain about but I guess either the other reviewers got a bad one or I got lucky and got a great one.

This printer has given issues from day 1, everyday we have to calibrate it or the colors are off, it gets very slow to the point that it takes a minute to make a copy. a total disaster.

Awesome printer. I work in a small office and this device has made everyones life much easier. Heads up though, you much purchase the optional "HP Jetdirect 3000w NFC/Wireless Accessory J8030A, HP Jetdirect 2900nw Print Server J8031A" if you want to have wireless networking. This accessory is an extra $59, which I found to be a little ridiculous considering the price of the printer itself.

Been running this machine for around 6 months now. Machine is great, has all the features you need and a very user friendly touch screen interface. Would give it 5 stars for performance but 2 stars for the price. Realistically this should be priced well under $2k. M570 is an equivalent replacement with same running costs and runs $1k.

This printer was advertised to print copy, scan and fax. Unfortunately upon receipt of the printer it was found that it will only copy and print with no scan or fax option available. I have had my IT group involved to set up the scan option to no avail. We have had this unit for a month without being able to scan that first page. Then we learn that there is not a portal to plug in the fax even though on the HP website and the instruction booklet for the model purchased there are instructions for the fax option of this unit. A lot of money spent for a glorified printer and copier. Disappointed in this product is an understatement.
