When I first read the reviews I assumed that the installation issues were user error (and, still, most of it still is) but here are some things that I noticed that make the installation process troublesome. The first is that the adhesive is not sticky enough. I got it all on my iPad the first time only to go and lift the tab and it took it right back off. This was AFTER pressing it down with my hands and a credit card to remove any bubbles. Thus I placed it on again and had to restart the process, luckily, without any trapped dust or hair underneath. I also have an issue with the little card they give you to press the bubbles. It ended up ripping through a lot of the blue film on top and getting caught so I switched to a plastic card. The second is lining up the screen protector isn't difficult but it could be a lot easier so that you get a straight and clean experience. Many screen protectors achieve this by providing a frame of sorts so that you can keep it in line. If plastic use is the issue I feel we could even achieve it with cardboard or something similar. I can't say how well it holds up but am hoping it lasts a while. It doesn't interfere with the screen clarity and it feels much better than a bare screen. I won't claim it's the same as writing on paper and you don't get that feeling like you would on a remarkable or something like that but it definitely helps.

Like many people, I had found ubiquitous recommendations for Paperlike while researching texture improvement screen protectors with Google. Consequently, I purchased the product and installed it on my iPad 9th gen 10.2". The texture and feel of Paperlike was definitely an improvement over a bare screen when using the Apple pencil. The Apple gen 1 pencil and bare iPad screen definitely felt (and sounded) unnatural. Personally, I found that the Paperlike matt finish somewhat attenuated the view of the display in vibrancy and intensity, but that is only my subjective opinion. I recently purchased a BRYDGE keyboard for my iPad and while test driving the setup, I accidentally damaged the Paperlike screen protector. It was a good incentive to find and try an alternative to the Paperlike. After some research with Google and Amazon, I decided to purchase the BELLEMOND screen protector. All screen protectors come with (1) a screen cleaner (wipe), (2) cleaning cloth and (3) dust collector (adhesive strip). I watched the BELLEMOND installation video and followed the process. Additionally, I ran my Blueair air purifier in our bathroom before installing. I had my 1000 lumen Fenix flashlight shining on the screen to check for dust. I also wiped the outer surfaces of the packaging with a damp cloth to remove any dust clinging to the packaging. Then I positioned the screen protector to align the cutouts for the Home button and and (front) camera, starting by peeling back 2 cm of the protective sheet, as directed, continuing to peel and pressing to remove air bubbles. This process is the same procedure for Paperlike, with the exception that the Paperlike kit provides three strips of tape to attach the screen protector to the iPad. I feel that this is a good idea, and next time, I'll use some painter's tape to secure the screen protector to my iPad in a similar fashion to install my next BELLEMOND screen protector. In comparison to Paperlike, in my experience, is that removing the air bubbles from the BELLEMOND, during installation, is MUCH easier. Personally, I like the texture, post installation, of the BELLEMOND better (totally subjective, I know). My primary app is Good Notes 5 which works brilliantly with BELLEMOND. My (completely subjective) opinion is that the display is sharper (and a litter brighter - less opaque). To be honest the differences between the two are very small, and your choice will be based on personal preference. Further, the BELLEMOND is significantly less expensive. In summary, my opinion, BELLEMOND is a superior product and less expensive. Disclaimer. I do not have anything but a short-term experience with both products, so I cannot offer any long-term observations on longevity etc. Also, I personally paid for the product and this is an unsolicited review. caveat emptor.

It mentioned on the box that it was hard, smooth, noise proof and anti-glare… but when I attempted to install on the screen, no matter how delicate I was, I still ended up scratching it and chipping it. I used my apple pencil to test it out and it still scratched, and the more I use with the pencil it reveals more noise than what it did before… It’s also not as gritty as I thought it would be, and it’s really hard to draw with (for me at least). I tried to be as gentle as possible but this screen is really delicate. Also… I thought it was clear, but it’s really blue than what was shown in the product pictures… but it could’ve been worse 🤷

These used to be my screen protector of choice, but for the past few months, they've become way too easy to scratch. These used to last me several months, but now they scratch within 3 weeks. I'll have to find a different brand to use now.

I really enjoyed this product bc it was paper like texture, I only give 4 stars bc I didnt keep on a full year since it was wearing my apple pencils nibs down within 2-3months of changing them (I went through 3 within one college semester)
