Great book
I really enjoyed reading this book. Mr. Forgery has some great stores, I cant wait to use these stories with my own scouts next time we are camping.

One of the worst collections of stories that I have had the misfortune of reading.
If you were lured to this book by Paul Hoffman's cover art, and perhaps thought that it would be similar to S. Schlosser's "Spooky" series that he also illustrates, back away slowly. The only reason that this collection of stories doesn't rate one star is that Dr. Forgey was wise enough to include stories from other (and much more skilled) authors. Dr. Forgey's versions of stories are hackneyed and neutered abortions of the originals, and his original stories are so bad as to not even be worthy of comment. One can only hope that Dr. Forgey is dramatically more skilled at the practice of medicine than he is at storytelling, if only for the sake of his patients' continued existence. With so many choices in this genre, I can only urge a reader to avoid any work by Dr. Forgey, and reach out instead for something by S.E. Schlosser, Jack Kutz, Dan Asfar, or Antonio Garcez. With any of those authors, you will be enthralled and pleased with your scary tale. With a story by Forgey, you will feel disappointed and dismayed that you even wasted the time reading his dreck, that is unless you have a penchant for poor story telling and cheese in literary form.
