I love the Amoretti brand of syrup. It is a great consistency for coffee, not thick but not watery. Great caramel taste.

This is a large, delicious caramel syrup that's a perfect addition to coffee, tea, ice cream and hot chocolate. I enjoy adding this as a replacement for sugar in my morning coffee, and even though I don't have a huge sweet tooth, this is a great syrup for me. I've ordered and used several flavors of Amoretti Syrup before including Peppermint, French Vanilla, Tiramisu and Hazelnut, and this is my absolute favorite with the French Vanilla as a close second. This is also great if you entertain coffee drinkers often because it's the least offensive flavor for most people (9 out of 10 friends like caramel). My favorite drink at Starbucks is usually a Caramel Latte and this really delivers close to that flavor at home (my coffee machine helps too). I also like that this is sweet without being overly sweet. And it feels so luxe having these great looking (and tasting) syrups in my coffee collection! It arrived with a plastic sealed top and an additional pump to be added for easy use. Putting the pump on the bottle caused quite a bit of the syrup to flow out and required some clean up, but I'm ordered several Amoretti Syrups before and was ready for this. Put the pump on over the sink and don't wipe with a paper towel immediately, just let some water run over the body first so it doesn't get sticky and then wipe. The pump it great otherwise and has never given me any leakage or problems. If you've never had Amoretti Syrups before and you don't find caramel an inoffensive flavor, I'd suggest starting with this but if you hate caramel, try the French Vanilla. If you hate anything too sweet, this just isn't for you!

The first one arrived damaged and a huge caramel mess in the box, but excellent customer service sent me a replacement right away. I have tried many syrups recently (in addition to Amoretti: Tate and Lyle, Torani, Starbucks, and Morin). This one is excellent for someone who doesn't like their drinks very sweet. The flavor is excellent, and out of all of the ones I have tried it smells the best in terms of caramel, however for my taste it was not quite sweet enough alone (using more made the flavor balance off and chemically). Paired with a sweeter syrup or a simple cane sugar syrup it is incredible! The syrup is concentrated so you truly do need less than others, but consider that if you have to pair it, that may be burdensome. Comparatively and specifically for the caramel flavor I would rank the syrups (for taste, balance of sugar and flavor, amount needed per drink, how well it keeps etc) Amoretti with Tatte and Lyle simple syrup, Morin alone, Starbucks Lone, Amoretti alone, and last Torani.

This syrup is thick and has a great taste. We prefer a syrup that isn't overly sweet.

This Amoretti Caramel syrup Is satisfyingly sweet, and with a subtle but unmistakable caramel flavor. Most important - no discernible aftertaste, whis is all too common with other brands of flavored syrups. I use this and other Amoretti syrups mainly to enhance the flavor of my bland meal-replacement shakes - but this caramel syrup is quite versatile - it also goes very well in my coffee. I constantly try out different flavors of Amoretti syrups whenever I see one marked down in price, but I confess there is always a bottle of this caramel syrup to be found in my growing collection of syrups on my lazy susan in my kitchen (currently holding 8 open bottles). The quality of Amoretti syrups and the virtually infinite possibility of flavor combinations (caramel + expresso syrup - yum!) are only surpassed by Amoretti's superior customer service team. I've read a number of other reviews, and I know that I am only one of many, many Amoretti devotees.

See my review under the maple flavor. #1 real SYRUP, not a watery version like the other brand I have. These Amoretti's will be our syrup of choice for the future - my bottles all came with a pump so there was no additional cost as with the other brand(s). Flavors are powerful, you do not need to use as much to flavor your coffee. This is use two pumps, the other brand we have you need 4 to achieve the same degree of flavor and yes, I have the same flavor syrups in both brands. I will not write a specific negative review as personal taste in anything is always subjective to every individual; but when I really feel like we've struck gold on a purchased item, I will take the time to write because I greatly depend on reviews by others to steer me when purchasing unknown products. Who wants to waste money? Who has it to waste? :o)

So nasty it tasted like medicine with zero caramel flavor it honestly made me want to gag. Very much artificial. You are better off going with a different brand if you want a real caramel taste.
