METRIC HANDBOOK PLANNING AND DESIGN DATA 7ED (PB 2022)

Very useful to any building design professional

Excellent all inclusive design bible all architects and designers should have a hard copy!!!!

If you’re an engineer that works in many building industries for example residential, offices, supermarkets etc then this is a great book. If you work in a more niche industry for example only car dealerships then this isn’t the book for you. The information on many areas is great but not plentiful enough if you work in only one industry. Saying that if you are involved in many different project types then it is highly recommended. The photos attached give some examples of the levels of detail you can expect from this book.

Great book, good for architects

The Metric Handbook has been the most reliable source of data for architects, designers and engineers since.... well since the UK went metric! The 7th Edition doesn't disappoint with new chapters and significant re-writes covering every building type from agricultural to data centers. If you need access to building data, sample plans and dimensions then I cannot think of a better source. This is a heavy (in kgs) book though so you might want to consider the Kindle edition!
