The Key of Solomon the King (Dover Occult)

the reason I love the book I have had it before and didn't understand what I had and gave the book away!! the reason I bought it again there is a magic key on page 60 that will give you what ever you desire.it works because I am living my dream so I am going back over the book to see what else I missed. with that said the book has met my expectations and more! and for who all don't know the keys of Solomon was not wrote by king Solomon they use the name to make money. but S.L Macgregor Mathers were masons and all of the djinn in this book not demons are masons.so that's how they got the info. and that's how I got to understand things as well and they have not kill me. because I am they brother and I treat them with respect i have seen things that cant be explain unless you have dealt with djinns and spirits. sometimes you can know to much!! thanks for reading my review and i wish you luck on your path of enlightment!!

This book was very interesting to a person who is looking into the deeper mysteries. It is true that King Solomon himself was a Magi. This book actually talks about the signet ring and explains the meaning of the Star of David. I would not suggest the experimenting of the formulas for the book also explains that not all the formula is there. Those of less understanding has taken something so precious and destroyed the outcome. It is better to leave alone than to find yourself in the company of the Dark Side. You will NOT be able to control the spirits of the Dark Side like Solomon for you will be lacking important information needed that once was there.

Very informative book and a great help if you work with any of the goetic demons.

Mathers could have done a better job in organizing the plates to the content so that the reader didn't constantly have to jump chapters for the plate information to be of use. However, if you're interested in learning where some of the signs come from in British Traditions of Wicca this was Gardner's source book on it. The techniques are hardly respectful behavior but, we are talking about a Medieval grimoire so courtesy was not exactly a virtue of the original author. All in all the translation and and plates make for a good read without the nuances of antiquated english.

I got this for someone as a gift and he was very happy about it. It's a great informative book, at least from what I hear. Highly qualified from a person with very discerning taste in these things. This is not for someone who is not already involved in these types of practices. It has some not-so-nice things in it. If you're looking for a book just on the good side of things, this is not for you. But if you're trying to stay protected, maybe it is so you can know what to look out for.

Hard to read at some times if you don't understand the rituals. Over all good book to read I got a more understanding of the names of God.
