What is the acceptable temperature range?

Just a logical guess would be zero degrees f to 160 degrees f. I use my tape on a tankless water heater that sees the outside temperatures and the heated water temperature of 125 degrees and the near temp of a propane fired boiler.

Will paint adhere well to this wrap?

Have not tried, but do not feel that it would work. The texture is very rough.

Can this be used on hot and cold water lines to prevent freezing in winter months?

This is better suited for refrigeration lines. For pipe insulation you would be better suited with the preformed tubes that look like a pool noodle

how long of a pipe will this wrap?

Obviously this is different in each situation. Let's take a real world example. Say you need to wrap a mini split heat pump lineset drain line wiring bundle with a 2" OD. Each wrap would then require 6.28" using circumference formula 2×pi×r. Then this would be increased by the thickness of the tape itself plus the inability to create a perfect tight wrap so add a fudge factor to round up to ≈6.5" per wrap. On refrigerant lines to ensure no sweating in walls you need total coverage so there is always an overlap. If you overlap .5" then you would cover 1.5" of pipe using ≈6.5" of tape. So it would require 8 wraps for each foot of pipe (12÷1.5) and each wrap is ≈6.5" so 8×6.5=52" or a 4.33:1 ratio (6.5÷1.5 or 52÷12) in this example SO... a single 30' roll would wrap a bit less than 7 feet. If you only overlap .25" on each wrap it would be 1.75" of pipe for each 6.5" of tape (3.714:1 ratio) or with no overlap (not recommended in refrigerant lines) 2" of pipe for each 6.5" of tape (3.25:1 ratio). Just use 4 function math and the circumference formula for any OD to wrap with tape. So lets do one more. A 1" OD pipe with no overlap would use 3.14" per wrap plus the fudge factor on each wrap If you round up to 3.25" then that gives you a ratio of 1.625:1 (3.25÷2) therefore a 30' roll would cover a little over 18 feet. Now you could derive an accurate graph for each overlap value that would work for any OD. Why doesn't the manufacturer simply put this in its docs and on the box? Probably involves lawyers and bean counters in today's litigious world, so I furnish the following disclaimer. The information above could contain inaccuracies and so is unsuitable for life and death situations but is definitely accurate enough for government work. You could just use the info above and order an extra roll to be safe. Are we having fun with math yet?!

Good product for AC lines

Easy to install security adhesive
