My grandaughter LOVES these face painting crayons, and we adults love how easy the product washes from the face, skin, and brushes. The colors are as vibrant on the skin as they are in the stick and very easy to use and blend, even for a child! I ordered a makeup case for storage and the names and color bands are clearly visible, so I do recommend getting a case if you purchase the 32 count sticks. I highly recommend Jim & Gloria’s Face Painting Kit! Most of all, my granddaughter loves painting her family members…but also the learning process with no frustration because these are easy to use and take off. * Earlier Review: We haven’t used these yet. We purchased this as a birthday gift for a 7-year-old girl with a keen desire, and talent, to paint faces. The colors in this box are vibrant and creamy, which should apply easily no matter the tool. I’ll certainly get back to this review with our actual experience. The sticks are packed in a nicely-made, sturdy box, which I thought was perfect for wear-and-tear over time. My only problem is the tightly packed box and the inability to identify colors. When trying to pull a stick out of the box, the cap came off. I noticed most of the caps were loose. After snapping all the caps firmly, I struggled to get a grip on a stick to pull it out. The cap remained secure but I had no idea what color it was. It was also hard to put the stick back because of the tight fit. The sticks are well-made, sturdy, and easy to hold, like lipsticks. But again, within the box I couldn’t tell what the colors were and considering there are 32 colors to a box, having to dump them out to find what’s needed seems cumbersome. Each tube and cap is black, with a color-indicator band, which is not visible boxed. The stick was hard to put back because of the tightness. I’m on the hunt now for a storage case to store them in, with a way to easily identify their colors. There are no storage containers at the Jim & Gloria Store but I do appreciate that they manufacture face paints keeping children in mind. Again, so far I’m thrilled with the colors and also the price, and I will come back to report on how well these face paints apply, last when applied, and how well they wash off.

LOVE THESE! So so so so easy to use. They dried relatively quick when put on the face. We used these for Christmas face painting for the polar express and they always came out too cute!

Good starter for face painting. Goes on smooth.

I didn’t pay attention to the size, so was a little surprised at the size which is a little bigger than a chapstick. A little hard to tell the difference between the colors. But, it worked well, the colors were vibrant and washed off easily. Can be used straight from the stick, or with a little water by paint brush.

Works great. It was so much more easier to use than a paint brush.

They are okay. I like the variety and colors, but a good bit of them were kind of dried out.

I got 4 matalic plus one that was mislabeled. 6 neons. 21 colors but one was a repeat. The labeling isn't very clear. When these are on the table the kids might struggle to see the color on the small bands. Not that it matters, the colors don't match the band very well. However, I needed these for when a kid wants their whole face covered. The markers from this company are excellent, so I wanted to give these a try. Over all, they are as good as you expect to find for this price point. You have to go over your marks twice with most colors. They go on very smoothly, for the most part. I would call the metallics glitters. They are essentially pigment with a little bit of glitter in them. The color itself is not reflective at all. These stix are about a half inch in diameter, so not for fine work. I use the markers for fine work. I guess you could also use a brush if you want to mess with that. Paint comes off easily, but some of the darker colors left a slight stain.

This is a third face paint set I have ever bought on amazon and I must say it’s the best out of the three in the last couple years I have been face painting for kids. Quality & Versatility: Color pigment is really vivid and activates smoothly once sprayed with water to get it to glide when covering large areas. You can use paint brushes/ sponges to get more detailed with your design. Blend out different colors for that gradient effect. Amazing for sensitive skin! As I mentioned activating the sticks with just plain water, the paint is so easy to come off if you need to correct something or if parents are concerned about staining the skin,etc. Once dry, the design is set just long enough for duration of the fun event. Every child and parent was happy with the result of my work with this product so I am really happy. I am an oil painter and I face paint for my aunts charity events so coming from an artist perspective, pigmentation goes a long way you won’t regret it!
