Excellent adjustable pin spanner
Excellent adjustable high quality pin spanner with replaceable pins. Worked perfect on my Bobcat lift cylinders to rebuild Well made Medium duty. The OTC heavy duty one is also excellent but too big for some applications.

Well-made tool that's essential for certain repair tasks
In trying to change my timing belt, I had been stymied by the crankshaft pulley bolt, which was last put on by someone wielding the air wrench of Zeus. Nothing would budge it, including liberal applications of penetrating oil, heat, and a 350 ft-pound impact wrench (spec for the bolt was 134 ft-pounds). This well-constructed tool, combined with an absurd amount of leverage, finally helped me crack the bolt loose. I now consider this a critical part of my tool set for future work. Although this tool is labeled as a "Toyota" tool, I purchased it over OTC's universal spanner wrench, as reviews suggested that the steel of this tool might be better quality. I also made use of the breaker bar anchor point to extend the length of the tool. All in all, it worked perfectly for my Honda application and held up well to an extreme application of force.

Exactly what was needed.
OTC seems to always hit the sweet spot between overpriced, but high quality dealer specialty tools and something you made yourself by modifying something from Harbor Freight. I have always had great luck with them in terms of both quality and functionality. I'm not a professional, but I do work on a lot of cars. My tools definitely get a workout. In this case, I don't think the pictures do it justice - this holder is a hefty thing. It includes adapters to work with a variety of pulleys, whether they have a bolt hole or not, and the ability to add extra leverage with a 1/2" drive breaker bar is very welcome. Without the breaker bar, it's fairly compact and small enough to fit in a variety of locations. It was exactly what I needed for holding both cam pulleys and the crank pulley after replacing the timing belt on a Chrysler 2.4l. I wish I had bought this thing years ago!

This took held up on a large Jack service project.
I have always been happy with the OTC quality and the price. This tool was no exception and I used it on a very large service call where I had to service 26 100 tone jacks. The tool adjusted and locked down very nicely. It also helps up with a cheater pipe attached to my ratchet. It was a little hard keeping it on the plug, But that is a two-hole spanner thing. The tool did a great job and the price was good. If you need a spanner tool, you will not be disappointed.

Not just for automotive work! Hydraulic cylinders also.
I use this tool for hydraulic cylinders, especially on the end cap on a Petersen bucket cylinder. Not what the tool was designed for, but works GREAT!

Fairly well made tool, but..
I bought this tool to help with changing a timing belt on an 04 Tacoma. The tool is strong but the bits that screw in of various sizes are too short to work on a crankshaft. I had to find two 1 1/4" bolts that fit and cut the heads off, which did work but it would have been better if I had bouth the tool made specifically for this job on this vehicle. I hope to find another use for this tool in the future.

Heavy duty pin spanner wrench
Even though this is specified as a Toyota pin wrench, I got it primarily to take some motors and specialty equipment apart. It had zero issues putting up with amount of torque I was putting on the little pins to get things apart. On the end of the wrench is a 1/2 inch drive square to really give you some extra leverage with a breaker bar or regular ratchet. Pins included are 3.5 mm, 4 mm, 4.5 mm, 5 mm, 6 mm, 7 mm, 10 mm. Fully opened up, I could get the wrench to expand to just over 5 inches. The blow molded case holds the pins and wrench fairly secure as I have dropped it many times with no damage. In a ruined fastener, have been able to drill some semi deep holes and used this wrench with great success. Overall, have had no issues with the few times that I have used this. Would definitely recommend. Pros: - Great assortment of pins - Held up to over 100 ft/lbs of torque - Saved hours of time instead of using a chisel and hammer - Coating is holding up well after a year Cons: - Pins can sometimes not be the straightest in the wrench (especially with the longer piece)

Works for the Toyota Sienna engine
I used this generic tool during a timing belt replacement on a Toyota Sienna 3.0 liter engine, and it worked as advertised. Adding a 1/2-inch ratchet to lengthen this tool to hold the cam gear more or less still, I loosened the cam-gear bolt with a 1/2-inch breaker bar plus a pipe extension (the removable top half of my jack handle served that purpose) plus significant effort. During reassembly, to tighten the bolts to the specified 94 ft-lbs, I substituted a 1/2-inch torque wrench (plus the pipe / jack-handle again) for the breaker bar. In both cases, to get an adequate grip on the cam pulleys, I used the tool's longest set of screw-in "holders." There was no damage to them or to the arms of the tool; his tool is made of tough stuff. The illustrated tool case is provided, and it's a good one, with compartments for each of the illustrated parts.

Overbuilt, great array of pin sizes, and quality case. Honestly, aside from its serious ruggedness, it feels more like a precision instrument than a shop tool. Two thumbs up.
