Positive aspects and why most ALL the critiques are wrong, or should be mitigated by the purchaser.
The Good / Great:-- Almost metal, except for the handle, chrome that is both smooth and appears to be thick enough to last and not delaminate, or corrode.-- Valve tuns about as smoothly as any valve I've used in any application.-- Design seems to hit all the right notes of positioning, free flow of water, placement and construction of valve handle, ect. As an example, the handle points to the outbound pipe when on, and away when off, so you can visually tell intuitively which way to turn it, and what will result.-- Easy to install, as long as you have the clear understanding of what is required to make sure it doesn't leak. One design flaw:The length of the main outlet, is shorter than the one out of the side. This can result in there not being enough exposed to both tighten properly or allow clearance for some swivels.Others' problems:-- Leaks -- In every single instance I can foresee, you must have the added rubber washers! This is the design of the connection that will stop leaks! Also, if you overtighten it enough, you can cut that rubber to shreds, and force it into the outlet pipe.Damaged parts, or extremely inferior condition or construction: This usually comes from two main sources:-- Sometimes product returns are looked by someone at Amazon and it is returned to inventory, when it should not have been. Sometimes, even if the product is fine, it is returned without the proper, or sometimes NO packing whatsoever. Once I received a discounted return of an Instant Pot, which came to me in a plain brown, cardboard box with NO packing whatsoever. It appeared to me that the additional parts and manual were thrown into the box, which were likely missing from the return. Obviously perhaps, the pot was badly dented, which earned me an extra cash discount.-- You cannot always easily tell who the real seller really is. Or, the seller himself could be sourcing the products from both great, and bad quality sources. You can find many Amazon products, which all have the same identical listing, but are sourced from dozens of different vendors and/or suppliers.-- Sometimes, the products are counterfeit, but you can't easily figure that out when you order. High intensity headlight bulbs are one of these. There are only a few or maybe one, real manufacturer, since it is so difficult to make. The fake ones, may or may not have adequate UV protection, or any at all. Use them, and they will literally burn out your whole High Intensity headlight assembly, for about $5,000 eash. The may last only 10-20% of the life of the real product. And, the colors will likely not match the spec, or the left and right ones. Worse, as they age, they become dimmer, and change color slightly. At the time I looked, the OEM product was $150-$200 for the original quality, (and, $250-300 from the dealer). Other off brands were $20 - $75. Stamp those off brand bulbs and packaging as if the original is just too easy and too profitable to easily prevent, even if Amazon wanted to police this. How could they?-- I'm not sure why there was teflon tape included, since it will do nothing to prevent most any leaks. It also seems to have mislead some of the reviewers into thinking that this would work to prevent it from leaking. It was not designed for this. You might wrap some tape up to, but NOT past, 1/8" from the end of the threads. It will turn easier, but maybe so easy that you can't lock the swivel attached into one place, without over-tightening the rubber gasket.Don't believe me, and think that teflon would "work"?But, it will NOT stop the leaks at all! Try this example to prove it:Attach your hose to your outside garden faucet:Now, use that teflon tape. Does it leak??> Yeah.Try more. Still leak?> YES!Try still more tape.> I can't even screw the hose on, there is so much tape!Ok, but since you did, finally. Does it still leak?> YES!!! ,k@#$%^..!!Hey, you might want to ADD that rubber washer that came with the hose now... Does it still leak??> Uh, No.... Now it works fine, assuming I can still screw it on.Next time, skip the tape, or only use it to lubricate the threads a bit. The added teflon will ensure that pipe connections can't corrode together, and make it hard to remove 10-20 years from now. Remember that it will also turn so easy, it would not stay in place.

Very easy for do it yourself
Work well to replace old valve that had frozen. Should have replaced a lot sooner. Easy to do and not expensive at all.

Great quality. No leaks. Easy to use.

No Click For Position
Does not click from Shower, to Wand, to shared position. It rolls through all positions. Not necessarily bad. Just unexpected. Looks great and easy to install. Good water flow.

Smoothe operation
The media could not be loaded. I have owned, and installed, and operated at least to have a dozen of these, but this one is Far and Away the finest I've ever used. It may be the least expensive one I've ever purchased also. It's the first one completely made of metal, does not appear to diminish any water flow and its operation is phenomenally easy. They said I wouldn't need any Teflon tape and they weren't lying it went in with just the gaskets they supplied so that is also a first for me. Sure feels nice working with Amazon. It seems like they've always done the leg work to find the best purveyor of all the things I need

Do not add weight to this fitting
This is a good diverter for its intended purpose: a shower head and a wand. However I attempted to use this with an extension and a rain head, and the fitting started loosening and leaking around the pipe seal within a week. Look into something more substantial without pivot points if that's what you're trying to do.
