KCT Garden Lawn Roller Large Heavy Duty 48L Water or Sand Filled Drum Seed Planting

After reading mixed reviews about rollers in general I decided this one looked the best for the job in hand overall. Very happy, easy to assemble, filled in a jiffy, started rolling immediately and worked a treat. I only used water as the soil was soft, but it did a great job.

The roller arrived within 2 days of ordering, ahead of schedule. Within 20 minutes I had the roller assembled and in use. The roller had been packed perfectly and was pristine. There was no sign of excess welding on the drum. The horizontal scraper bar can be adjusted above the drum. The filler cap is a steel and requires a 22mm spanner/socket. This sealed the drum perfectly after I filled it with water. There has not been any sign of leaking. I would advise placing an extra washer on the axle on the inside of the handle shaft, the supplied washer is between the cotter pin and the shaft. Also I greased the axle at this point. I have been using this roller at regular intervals to consolidate new turf and the results are good. Filled with water the roller is heavy enough to help the root structure to establish. I am very happy with my purchase.

The roller arrived swiftly but when I went to build the thing, sadly two of the sections weren’t pre drilled. Effectively making it useless. Clearly a manufacturing issue. I don’t have the tools to start metal drilling on their behalf. Very annoying. I guess I’ll have to post it back myself and find another one. Also - it leaks. Wonderful. 😖

Its a roller. The instructions are poor and it isn't very well manufactured. Ours like other reviewers have mentioned leaks, I will instead fill it with sand.

Arrived, put together, and has unfortunately fallen apart. The roller leaks and the bolts don’t stay on. Would not recommend and would ideally like a replacement.
