There are two main types of keyboard covers: Silicon: Pros include a sleek look especially if you want a solid color to your keys Cons include the fact that silicon loosens up over time, which can make it misalign with the keyboard in the long run. Also, having a solid colored keyboard cover means that the backlight is practically unusable TPU: Pros include the ability to use the keyboard backlight because of its transparency and the material doesn’t loosen as easily (if at all) compared to silicon so it’ll keep a perfect fit in the long-term Cons may vary. For me, TPU isn’t completely transparent so it’ll make your keys look slightly grayish. Another thing to note is that the natural oils from your fingers will show a bit more on this cover than in silicon ones, but you won’t notice it too much unless you look at the cover when it's not on the actual keyboard. I chose TPU because, to me, the pros definitely outweigh the cons. The cons are more subjective and can depend on the individual. I didn’t mind the slight grayish look and all keyboard covers get dirty over time so it’s just a matter of wiping it down every so often. The directions mention replacing it every few months or so, but I see no need for it because the one I have now (I’ve had it for over 6 months) still holds up fine. The package includes a few sticky things so you can stick the cover to the keyboard for security, but I don’t think that’s needed. The cover fits fine and I’ve never had an instance were it accidentally came off. That and the fact that using the sticky things makes it look a bit off aesthetically. When looking for a keyboard cover just make sure you know what you want. There are pros and cons to any type of keyboard cover, but if you choose TPU, you won’t be disappointed with this!

I've had this model of keyboard cover on my Macbook Pro since I got it back in mid-2017 and it has worked wonders. It fits perfectly and stays in place surprisingly well. They do include adhesive strips, but I've gone without them and still never had it come out of place during normal usage. (Note: intense airflow like blowing on the keyboard or utilizing the computer with the keyboard vertical will result in the keyboard cover coming off...duh). I replaced my original key cover in 2019 and have been utilizing this second one up until this point where I'm most likely going to buy another. With that being said, make sure you are getting the right version based on your computer. This one specifically is for the MacBook Pro with touchbar and the older-style butterfly switch keyboard. These switches were later replaced around 2018 due to multiple complaints and issues with failures. I have never had these faulty issues with my keyboard because this cover has done such a great job and keeping crumbs, dust, and other debris out of the keys themselves. It's also important to note that, yes the MacBook under load will try to dissipate heat from the keyboard, but this cover will not noticeably decrease cool performance. It is a ridiculous claim to begin with and you should have known going into buying a MacBook that they can't keep themselves cool. Overall, I would highly recommend this keyboard cover as it will keep your keyboard looking tidy and also protected from things that may otherwise lodge themselves and hinder the functionality of your keyboard. It does slightly change the "feel" of the keys from very click to more quiet and "mushy," but not to any discomforting level and nothing you won't adjust to very quickly.

I am very impressed with how well this product was made. Clearly, the manufacturer has put a lot of effort into making this item. However, the one big negative is that, when dirty, it will transfer key-shaped dirt outlines on the screen when the laptop is closed, which will require wiping of the screen. So, it is important to make sure to wash the cover as soon as it gets dirty and to do so regularly. Do that, and this will work out to be a great keyboard cover for your Macbook Pro. Fit - It fits like a glove on my 13" mid-2018 Macbook Pro w/ Touchbar laptop. I mean effortless ! Typing ease and feel - To be honest, even though the cover is extremely thin and allows for almost hindrance-free typing, it is still noticeable to me to be slightly hindering. I have now used the cover extensively for a month (12 hours / day), and have noticed that typing is a bit easier without the cover on. Not a huge issue, but noticeable. Ease of maintenance - Washing this cover is a breeze ! Just two minutes to wash with dishwashing detergent and dry it and put it back on. This is great. I wash it roughly once a week, and I use my laptop about 8 - 12 hours / day. To summarize, this is a well made product and a necessary investment for owners of newer Macbook Pros (because the keyboards are known to be sensitive to dust). Make sure to wash it regularly to prevent dirt transferring to the screen when the laptop is closed. I'm a happy customer.

This keyboard cover is the perfect way to keep your keyboard clean while still giving it a great texture. When my roommate was using my laptop it the keys were something he loved which he didn't realize it had a protector on it. This helps to show how low profile this protector it as it fit great on your device without standing out. It has help up for many years and my keys still look like they're as new as the day I bought the laptop. It is very easy to install as you just place it over the keys and with the thin transparent nature of it you won't have any issue seeing your keys.

This is a Macbook Pro 15 ,13 inch Keyboard cover. Its the best cover ever without a shadow of a doubt . It fit my keyboard greatly. Wonderfull typing experience. I would really recommend it for every single Macbook pro user. Buy it blindly.

After having so many keyboard covers that move around, and I had to use tape to keep them in place, this is worth the money because it fits perfectly like a glove now, and so when I type, the cover no longer moves around.
