How does this sherpa blanket do after a wash? Does it shed?

Yes it can....Actually I just washed it by itself on delicate cycle and dried it on low.It is as soft as ever.

What is the blanket material? The description says cashmere but I don't believe it.

I can’t find the tag on this exact one but I have another one just like it that has the tag and it says 100% polyester
