Wasn't really sure it was worth spending that much on a couple pieces of plastic but these are probably the most important little pieces of plastic in my life now. My Harvest Right freeze dry machine is in a back bedroom far from the kitchen and having these means I can move all five trays at once instead of making five different trips. They fit fine and never fail, you want them.

They make doing the job easier.

User error could be a factor, but I have a difficult time with these. They fall off... a lot. They don't seem very secure when first put in place. The plastic itself seems very strong, it's not flimsy, and they seem well made, but they are unstable when attached to my trays before freezing. After freezing, they are frozen into the food a little so they stay better for removing trays from the freezer.As you can see in the pictures, they don't allow much space between the trays. That's great if you're short on freezer space, but even when I fill the trays with less than the weight of food recommended for the tray size, the food expands in the freezer and sticks to the bottom of the tray above. You can see in the bottom tray I put parchment paper on top of the spaghetti sauce and the chunks of tomatoes are pushing up against the next tray. Without the parchment paper, that would be stuck to the bottom of the tray above. On that tray I loaded 2 cups less than the tray's capacity.It's also important to note that I have a Large freeze dryer so my trays are bigger and flex a little more. These probably work just fine for the medium or small size trays. I definitely wouldn't try them on the X-Large.

Good at keeping the tray separated so they don't freeze touching the other food, allow for good air circulation in the freezer while I pray freeze. Don't stack the lids as well if you're using the lids as trays

These corner pieces are very necessary & I think they bank on that fact. I should've purchased the tray lids instead for what I paid for these. The lids keep the nasty fly laying eggs off your food, still act as separators & could help dried food from reabsorbing moisture from atmosphere while sealing bags.

Take trust in the sellers ability to be helpful. Upon making an ordinary human mistake the seller went above and beyond to make it right!These stackers push downward onto the edges of the tray. When properly setup the trays can wiggle a few tiny millimetres but otherwise stack very nearly and firmly and can be moved around safely.The stackers do as expected and prevent the top of any tray from touching the bottom of the tray above it.

It would be great if the changed the design so that they clipped to the trays for a semi-permanent attachment.
