Easy installation/good design
The initial setup didn’t work, but the manual setup did. It took a simple Google search for interpreting the red led error. Integration with the Ring flood/freeze sensors was seamless (tap button 3 times during pairing). The setup could be a little better, but I’m giving the product 5 stars for the convenient setup (pipe clamps/no soldering), smooth integration with Ring, and zero parts in contact with water (no worries about the materials). I now have peace of mind knowing the main water valve will close anytime my Ring sensors detect water.

Strong enough for my tough-to-turn shut-off valve!
I upgraded my shut-off actuator because my valve was getting harder to turn and my Dome brand actuator wasn't cutting it. I put lithium grease around the handle nut but no-dice. So this design looked more robust than most with clamps on 2 sides of the valve. Works like a charm. Set-up wasn't bad, took 20 minutes. I have a Vera hub and reprogramming my "flood scene" was easy. If you have a tough valve, this might do the trick for you. It also comes with 1 hardwired leak sensor...

Confusing and inconsistent, but does the job
If you don't want to replace your water main, then this retro-fit type of device is definitely worth trying. The calibration is a bit off from what the manual has said, and I had to trial and error. The so-called “Zwave” button is actually a touch button with the led light, so you have no press feedback aside from the beeps. There is a dedicated manual for connecting to ring for this long range model. The pin is the 5 digits under your QR code. Adding it to ring is relatively easy. However, there are certain situations that ring will not detect the state and shows “unknown state” in app, and you have to manually toggle the device again. This happens to me if I manually tap the button to open/close the valve. If I use ring to open/close then it shows no issues. I’d say it will definitely be a plus when I really need to remotely shut it off. However, it’s not something I can trust beyond 90% like my other smart home devices.

Works as advertised and no plumbing experience required
Before buying this product, I had a few concerns. First, I wondered if it would work with my existing valve and pipes. Second, I had a hard time turning the valve by hand, so I wondered if this product could turn it.AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE !!!The customer service was amazing, and the valve operator works! I was able to quickly exchange emails, photos, and measurements with them. I did have a small leak after installation, but it stopped. That wasn't the company's fault; my pipes are just old. I had not shut off the water in years. I have had some questions since, and they have been extremely helpful. There's nothing wrong with the device; I just like to geek out.It says to make sure you calibrate it. I did and it was very interesting. The calibration appears to be to determine how much force is needed to turn the valve. It starts using low power - my valve didn't turn at all and I thought it was a lost cause. But - it then increased the power in steps. It was the fourth or fifth step before it was able to turn it.I connected it to my Ring system. Be patient, it will connect. I think mine took about 3 minutes. I tested it by faking a leak with one of the sensors. This device turned off the water seconds after the alert registered. Cavaeat - it will only connect to SmartThings OR Ring, technically not both.Only downside - there's no way to lock it to the pipes. I mean, make it a little less easy to steal. You would have to unscrew the clamps so it would take a minute or so to get it off. At least it seems like it can't easily be connected to a different Z-wave hub (Ring, etc.) which kind of kills the value, no one else can use it. However, you can lock out the button so no one can come up and press it to activate the device.Very cool device.

Really cool invention
As long as your shutoff valve has the right clearance, this thing will work perfectly. The open/close action is very strong. At first it paired with the wrong status in Smartthings (status was closed when it was open) but the documentation tells you how to easily fix this if it happens.

Not fully Functional with Ring as provided
This product is not fully compatible with Ring UNLESS you go to the Zooz website and do your own research to get it to work. For full Ring functionality you are supposed to use pin number on box but there is no number LABELLED PIN on outside of box. Also included water sensor cable is too short. No extension cable is available. No phone support or address available., just email with no links provided and short unhelpful non answers! You can get this to work, but you will spend a lot of time researching it yourself on their website with no real help available. Would not buy from Zooz again.

Peace of Mind when you are away - Great Product with a Couple of Suggestions
I purchased this item because we were going to be away for approximately two months. We didn’t want to turn off the main water shut-off valve since we have a programmable water sprinkler for our backyard plants. However, leaving the house without shutting off the main valve is risky due to the potential for water pipe bursts and damage. After extensive research, I found this product. It works seamlessly with a z-wave hub, which allows remote management. I opted for the SmartThings hub and set up the entire system. The product has been working flawlessly, and I can schedule turn on/off using the SmartThings app. Definitely deserving of a 5+ star rating!Feedback:(1) Integration with Google Home: It would be fantastic if the product could directly connect to Google Home. Currently, I had to purchase a SmartThings hub (around $200) for compatibility.(2) Instruction Improvement: The instructions on how to connect the product to the hub could be clearer. Short tutorial videos would greatly enhance the setup process.
