Camco Pop-A-Towel- Mountable or Portable Paper Towel Holder Dispenser, Keep Paper Towels Clean, Conserve Space in Your RV Kitchen (White) (57111)

I was a little skeptical about purchasing this item after reading some less-than-complimentary reviews, but I've used and loved the Pop-a-Plate for years so I decided to give it a try for our new camper. I'm glad I did - this thing is great! It holds my paper towels securely right above the sink and stove to have them within reach when cooking or washing hands. It slides out easily and becomes a freestanding holder that can sit on the table when we're stopped and having a meal, or carried outside to a picnic table with equal ease. Anything that keeps things organized, easily usable at arm's reach, and still saves the limited cabinet space in the camper for other essentials is a winner in my book. It was also very easy to install. This in combination with the Pop-a-Plate and Pop-a-Bowl will be a permanent fixture for space saving in my camper. I might choose something wooden or metal for home use, but where weight is a concern in a travel trailer, this plastic version is perfect. Edit/Update: July 2020 - This has held up great and is still in use. I've seen some complain about their towels unwinding off the roll in transit. Quick tip - don't buy the super-cheap paper towels - pick some that cling together a little like the Viva brand, and you'll neved have that problem.

I got this thinking it was going to be just another cheap Camco plastic product, and while it IS just that, it surprised me by having great function. The sides that hold the paper towel roll are fairly big and look like the walmart logo, kind of star-ish. It can easily just sit on a countertop on it's side because of this, and when you press down on the top side while tearing a paper towel off the roll, it effectively locks the roll from spinning, making it very easy to get a paper towel. I bought it for a pop up, and I'm having trouble finding a place to actually mount it, but I will happily just have it around for countertop use if I can't find a place to mount it.

Item works well, easy to install. All the pie was were there. But it did not come in original packaging. I thought that was a bit odd for being brand new. Other than that can't complain.

Comes in SUPER handy when washing hand's or doing dishes, but since it disconnects from the mount it works great to take out and put it on a picnic table while outside. Considering making a second mount (i don't see where i can buy just the wall mount part) and attaching it to my folding table. But like most rolling holders in an RV you have to make sure that you either tape the towel on before driving or put it somewhere where it can't roll while driving.

This is a great idea, being able to remove your paper towels from the stationary connector and take them outside. The problem is, and it's certainly not a show stopper....if you leave the towels in the stationary connector and drive any distance...when you stop at your next destination, there will be an empty roll left. All the paper towels will be all over the RV. This took several trips before it started, but I suppose as the plastic got hot (I live in Texas), the holder became loose enough that it will no longer keep a firm grip on the towel roll. Now; I just have to remember to put the hand held part with the towels on it, in the sink to keep it from unraveling.

This paper towel holder works great. Due to my layout I decided the best place to mount the base was under my counter extension since no one sits at that end of the couch. I take it down for travel. The paper towel holder also works great as a stand alone on the table during meals. Truly a genius product that is reasonably priced and made in the USA.

Really great idea. The portable holder slides out of the base to take it to a clean-up site or work site. Then it easily slides back in place in the base mount on the wall or under a cabinet.

I bought one of these years ago for my RV. Loved it. The towels slip from the bracket leaving the roll in the holder that has feet. They stand up making things so easy. Found another one a couple of years ago. I’ve been using one for paper towels in my shop. I’ve had a roll of the blue shop towels that that I seem to lose constantly. I bough 3 of these this time. One for shop towels in the garage to go with the paper towels. Put up two in my shop, the third bay of the garage.

Seems a little flimsy at first, but once installed it works very well. We installed this in our motorhome and the added bonus or removing the roll with a handle fits perfect for camping )take the roll outside)

Quick Review: Great item for your trailers outside hatch or your barbecue gazebo. I bought 2 for both purposes. Love that the paper towel is right there when I need it, transportable to the picnic table or wherever and back again. Love the easy mounting and easy way you simply slide it to remove from bracket. A bit pricy for what it is but sure is helpful. It will also remain sitting upright once removed from the base. Recommended!

This is a great 2 in 1 Paper Towel Dispenser for your RV, Shop or Home. The unique feature of this Paper Towel holder is the ability to POP it off the wall bracket and take it with you to set on the dining table, picnic table, kitchen counter or work bench. When you use the holder in portable mode the sides act as a base and prevent the paper towels from getting dirty or picking up moisture on the counter or table. Construction is all plastic and it comes two shallow wood screws for mounting. We couldn't find a suitable place to mount this towel holder in our RV so I didn't mount it ... we just use it as a portable paper towel holder and it works great for that purpose and my wife likes it. As far as mounting goes you do need to be aware that due to the removable mounting bracket this paper towel dispenser will hang down a lot farther than a regular paper towel holder which will mount flush to the underside of your cabinets. This one hangs down more than an inch and can be quite noticeable and too much in tight spaces. You will also need clearance to SLIDE the paper towel holder in and out of the mounting bracket which may restrict placement for you. Overall the Camco 57111 RV Pop-A-Towel holders does the job, holds the paper towels in place and when mounted offers you the convenience of having the holder mounted or removable which comes in handy. The only con is that is hangs down lower than a traditional paper towel holder.

Does what it says. Sturdy and easy installation.
