Sailor Moon S: Season 3 Part 1 (DVD)

This is probably one of my favorite seasons of Sailor Moon, almost behind Sailor Moon: Sailor Stars. Both seasons of S(the 90s adaptation and Crystal) are really dark; and to me, it made the season so good. I'm really excited to finally have this to add to the first two seasons of Sailor moon. Even though this is the standard edition, I'm really happy with it. Back when it began, I never had the chance to experience what it's like to be a fan of Sailor Moon, cause nothing much was going on. Ever since season one of Sailor Moon Crystal(I know some fans hated it, but I loved it despite the problems it had.) it reignited the passion I had since I was a teen. Having the pioneer versions(which they spoiled everything before I even watched an episode) and the other versions of S on DVD, I'm really glad that Viz decided to not spoil some stuff (though most of us old fans knew who they were) through the intro and gives new fans(moonies) the experience the show and have fun as well. I can hardly wait for Volume 2 of Sailor Moon S, cause it gets really dark from here. It'll be a long wait, but it'll be worth it. Being able to express my love for Sailor Moon as an adult woman now, it means a lot. I recommend adding this to your collection, whether you're a collector, or just something to have when you want to feel better or to relax. Whether you're young or old, no one is never too old for a little "Moon Cosmic Power, Make Up!"

Nice BUT the sales description is incorrect: (1) there are 6 disks or rather in all Blue-Ray format there's 1,500 GB of data; which can not be anything like the "Equivelent" 3 "Alternate-DVD" set at just 14 GB space...WHAT??? (2) saw another reviewer saying BR has no "Subtitles". (2) first: yes BR disk do have subtitles, at least on my computer. (1) the picture says "Combo Pack" and it is: first 3 disks are in Blue-Ray format and the next 3 are standard DVD disks; those sales writers neglected to mention that anywhere AND none of the other "reviewers" did either. I thought so BUT with "Amazon fulfillment center" ,unlike other distributor's, there's no contact info, no "ask-a-question button" nothing to find out so I had to buy it to get this answer. (3) windows format question: BR has issues playing in a window; it's OVERSIZED with thick black boarders and no way to fit into a window; meanwhile the DVD;s will play skin-tight in a window just fine... some of us watch movies while doing other tasks also, BR is setup JUST for theater style watching. (4) the BR are higher resolution, BUT not a lot so I just watch the DVDs in a window. I have no idea WHAT poor-print stuff some reviews mention with these releases, these appear the same quality as comparable shows made in the same time frame. UPDATE: Added pictures, the subtitles: BR on top, Companion DVD in center, DVD-only bottom... BR is much clearer, even the Asian text is better and different! Next photo shows Companion DVD full-screen on left, BR centered, DVD-only on right. Notice the differences.

Uranus and Neptune are by far my favorite sailor senshi. I am old enough to remember the DIC edit so I am thrilled to see their storyline returned to it's original glory.

The product arrived on time and as described. I’m really happy with the purchase because the limited edition blu-ray usually comes from 3rd party sellers with a premium added on and this did not. Regular retail price and great quality.

Absolutely love this series. Was a pain to get the full series due to constant broken cases and scratched discs, but in the long run, worth it!

Sailor Moon S Season 3 Part 1. Watched it when it came on Cartoon Network back in early 2000s when visiting my grand parents when I was a teenager caught the episodes of two witches 5 getting defeated by Sailor Moon and Sailor scouts. I missed the rest of Sailor Moon S Season 3 Part 1

This is a great DVD package of the first part of what is probably the best season of Sailor Moon. The new English dub is amazing! Dr. Tomoe's voice actor is wonderful! Mooooon Spiral Heart -- ATTACK!

This redub of Sailor Moon S is much better than the original Cloverway dub, especially restoring the true relationship between Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune. However, though the DVD aspect ratio (16:9) is just right, the Blu-Ray version didn't fit the full screen like its DVD counterpart. In short, the DVD/Blu-Ray combo pack is great, but not perfect. I say in future DVD/Blu-Ray releases, I say both version of the same show should have the aspect ratio of 16:9 instead of its original ratio of 4:3. Trust me I know.

It's finally here! *Happy dance* The long awaited first half of Sailor Moon S (also known as Sailor Moon: Season 3), like the others, has a great redub, introducing new cast members such as Uranus, Neptune, the Professor, Kaolinite, and the Witches 5. Beautifully restored picture and original music add to the magic. Usagi gets a new broach, transformation, wand, and turns 15; ChibiUsa returns, now Sailor Chibi Moon; new senshi arrive, as do new enemies; and the Sailor Guardians are faced with a heartbreaking choice: Do they have to sacrifice the lives of 3 people to save the world with their mighty, magical talismans? It's wonderful to finally see the relationship between Haruka/Uranus and Michiru/Neptune shown properly, rather than the awkward, vaguely incestuous "cousins" cover-up of the first dub in the 90s. (While I understand why they did it at the time, I don't really agree with it or think it was done all that well. It didn't fool me as a child at all.) I love the box that holds the cases and the booklet with the complete season episode guide as well as art and character info. A great continuation of my collection! The only downside to this collection is that (*SPOILERS*) Sailors Pluto and Saturn do not appear in it! We'll have to wait for part 2 for that. ;)

Esta edición incluye 3 discos Blu-ray (Región A), 3 discos DVD (Región 1) y un booklet de 96 páginas a color. Esta edición viene en una caja dura con la caja de los discos y el booklet, además incluye el espacio para incluir el Vol. 2. - El intro y ending vienen en japonés.

Great!! Came in a box for blu-Ray to fit part 1 and 2 as well. But this one is only part one. It also came with a gift book about the season too
