Perfect for connecting a laptop to a monitor with DisplayPort connections
I purchased the Accell cable to connect my new Dell XPS laptop to a Dell UltraSharp U2311H monitor. The cable works just as advertised and the result is a crisp image on my monitor.I also purchased a Mini DisplayPort to VGA cable so that I could connect my laptop to an overhead projector. Just to see, I tried to use the VGA cable to connect my laptop to my monitor and I found that it produced unstable, flickering images. The Accell Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable was a far better way to connect the devices. The only gripe that I have is that the Accell cable is marketed towards the Apple crowd since it only comes in white. This makes the cable stand out when attached to my Dell equipment which is all black as are the rest of my cables. Although this may be picky, I wish that Accell had the option of a black cable so that it would match the color of all the rest of my equipment.Overall, I am very pleased with the cable. I would recommend it for anyone needing to connect a monitor with a DisplayPort to a laptop with a Mini DisplayPort.Update: 10 October 2011 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------The length of the cable is a little more than 2m or 6.5 ft. I have been using the cable for almost 4 months and am still very pleased with the result. I remove my monitor from my desk every day (I had one fall over and break in one of the frequent earthquakes here) which means disconnecting the cable each day. However, I have seen no degradation in the connectors despite the frequent use. I would definitely recommend the cable.

Great for MBP to high res monitors
I'm using this cable with a late 2011 MBP via the thunderbolt port out to a 2560x1440 Dell U2713HM monitor. It works without a problem at native resolution and 60hz refresh rate. So far, so good.

Don't Purchase
Purchased this cable to use with my Macbook Air and a Samsung SA650 monitor. Cable works UNTIL the computer goes into sleep mode. Can't get out.. Have to power down the computer. Same problem when entering Time Machine. Screen goes black and must power down. If you have no need for Time Machine or your system doesn't go to sleep when you're away then great.. If not then don't spend your money on this cable. DVI and VGA work just fine.!!

Macbook Pro is unable to correctly resume from sleep mode
Two weeks ago, I purchased this cable to connect my mid 09 Macbook Pro running Mac OS Lion 10.7.3 with my Dell U2212HM monitor. The cable is working fine and the picture quality is great. However, the computer sometimes stops to resume from the sleep mode. This issues happens almost once every other day.I used to use a Mini DisplayPort to VGA adopter from Apple with a VGA cable to connect my computer with the monitor. And this issue has never happened before.I did some research on the internet, and this is a common issue for uncertified cable. I brought this cable just to avoid problems like this because Accell seems like a certified brand and it is relatively expensive. However, the quality of the cable is not what I expected. I contacted Accell via email yesterday, but I have not yet get response from the company.

Three Stars
These give out sooner than I'd like, but they're pretty good for the price.

Flawless!
Great quality cable that has worked wonderfully. It's more expensive than some alternativs, but I think it's worth it for the quality of this cable. I am using it to connect a PC (PC video card has a native Displayport connection) to my 27" iMac (2009). The iMac I am using is a NON-Thunderbolt iMac. I've been using it at 2560x1440 resolution and 1920x1080 resolution with no problems. It passes audio over to my iMac speakers as well. For those wanting to use this cable with a thunderbolt computer I would advise against it because Mac (27-inch, Mid 2011 and newer) computers do not support Target Display Mode via Mini DisplayPort cables; You can only use Thunderbolt cables for this. This cable has also worked well for another PC of mine with a video card that has mini displayport output which I am connecting to a Monitor that has the standard displayport connector. You could also use this cable for a second display with your iMac as long as the second display has a displayport connection.***NOTE*** When using a 27" iMac as a display; for it to work properly you'll need a video card that natively supports displayport as an output option. If your using a video card that doesn't support native display port connections you'll need an active converter that can change an HDMI/DVI/Other Didgital signal to a displaport signal. The problem with using active converters is that they don't support the native resolution of the 27" iMac. They usually only output to 720p or 1080p. There are a few converters that scale the input resolution up to 2560x1440, but most companies have discontinued these products because they are now working on thunderbolt compatible versions.
