Great quality container
The product itself is of brilliant. The brushed metal inside and out are lovely and the colour (in my case orange) is nice. The handle is excellent and feels solid and not fragile. The seal is great and feels airtight. The dial on the top to help record date of use etc isn’t easy to use but not a deal breaker. The replacement CO2 filters are nice too but not 100% sure on when to use them.Would I buy this again? Absolutely, but I’d probably go for the smaller jars a the medium one can easily hold a 250g of beans with ease.I left some light roast beans in the jar unopened for a full month and they still tasted fantastic.

Great coffee jar
This is a really nice coffee jar, looks sleek and well designed. It comes with a large steel scoop as well.It fits a 200g pack of my coffee perfectly. It’s certainly a lot easier than trying to scoop out of the bag, and it does keep it fresh and smelling new. I think it’s a little overpriced but it does do the job well.I’m a bit too thick to work out how to use the date indicator on the top of the lid, but it’s a neat feature. It comes with a little coaster that has the CoffeeGator social media pages and an offer of free e-books and coffee related stuff, however none of their pages have been updated in years, so not sure what the point of that is.

Glad I found this
Great colour and design. My coffee smells wonderful but it’s a special that I’m saving for Christmas. In the meantime this container works well and looks great.

More quality from Coffee Gator
I've become a Coffee Gator fan after receiving a cafetiere as a gift, and have since picked up a couple of these containers. They offer a good range of quality products to furnish you with all you need for various styles of coffee brewing. These containers are well made, nicely packaged and presented with a nice finish - they're available in several colours to suit your taste or help differentiate between different coffee you want to have to hand. They seal well and along with the included filters do help to keep beans or ground coffee fresher for longer than if you tried to reseal a bag or use tupperware.I have to be honest though, there is a real negative here: the date tracking on the lid.It seems like it should be a simple and useful feature, but the implementation is lacking for the cost of the containers. The central disc is often just difficult to turn with no real way to grip it, and the outer circle - while easy to turn - feels of a lesser quality than the rest of the container (sometimes loose or wobbly, not always lining up well with the numbers below). As such I don't use them, and if date tracking is a key feature you're looking for with your coffee containers, then it would be worth considering a different product.

Only for the very best coffee!
The filter in the lid of this canister allows gasses to escape, while nothing can get in. This keeps even ground coffee fresh for longer. You don't want to open it for longer than you need to, of course, because that's the only time when outside gasses get in. However, you will be pleasantly surprised about how fresh your coffee will be, coming from this outgassing canister and I definitely recommend it for the best coffee!

Effective storage for fresh beans
Having used this container now for a few weeks i can say that it does exactly what its mean to, maintain the freshness of freshly roasted beans. If you don't use freshly roasted beans (1-4 weeks from roast) you don't need this product as the beans will have lost most of their attributes and flavour profiles. Things I like: The container feels well built and large enough to house up to two bags + (250g) of beans. Its dark exteria wall ensures light and to some extent room temperature does not decease the shelf life of the beans. The date stamp found on the lid of the container is a useful addition although I would never use this myself as a bag of beans usually lasts 3 to 4 days. Things I don't like: The price is a bit steep in comparison to similar models on the market however I would also try to go with a genuine original design and product than the soon to follow cheaper knocked off and copied versions, some which occurs far too often in the coffee industryOn the whole, a worthy product that functions well to retain the flavour profiles of your freshly roasted beans.
