I'm a huge Marvel fan so had to see this, thoroughly enjoyed it, Scarlet is such a great actress and totally kicks ass !! Highly recommended Elizabeth Hair

Set in time before "Avengers: Endgame" (and, no, I will not give any spoilers in this review, for either of the films!), this film expands on the story of Natasha Romanoff, aka the "Black Widow", exploring her past history and background of the assassin-turned-Avenger. Scarlett Johansson is, as always, great in her role and the film introduces a few less-known Marvel characters, building up towards "The Thunderbolts". It does not have all the flashy CGI effects that one associates with other superhero movies (e.g. "Thor: Love and Thunder" or "Avengers: Infinity War" and, of course, "Avengers: Endgame"), but is a robust action movie, very enjoyable. As with all MCU movies, look out for the cameos, including one by the great, sadly gone and truly missed, John Hurt as General Ross.

CLASSIC ADAPTATION OF THE BLACK WIDOW FRANCHISE FROM MARVEL STUDIOS

Black Widow is a long-overdue solo adventure for Natasha Romanoff, and this Blu-ray release does justice to both the character and the story. Set between the events of Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War, the film explores Natasha's past, family, and the demons she’s been running from for years. Scarlett Johansson is phenomenal as always, bringing depth and humanity to Natasha while delivering jaw-dropping action sequences. Florence Pugh as Yelena steals every scene she’s in with her sharp wit and emotional performance, making her an instant fan favorite. David Harbour and Rachel Weisz also add charm and complexity as Natasha’s unconventional "family." The action sequences are thrilling, with a mix of intense hand-to-hand combat and larger-than-life set pieces. On Blu-ray, the cinematography truly shines, with crisp visuals and a stunning color palette. The Dolby sound enhances every explosion, punch, and emotional moment, creating an immersive experience. great movie, this is what marvel CAN DO, when its not trying to change things up, or destroy the MCU altogether

Another movie based on Marvel comics characters. This will make no sense if you haven't seen most of them already. So if you haven't go and google where to start. Regular viewers, read on. Here's a solo film for superspy Black Widow, that puts her in the lead. And obviously takes place prior to her most recent appearance in these movies. You will quickly work out where in all the continuity it slots into. We get an opening flashback scene to her origins, which does lay on some of the points it's trying to make a bit thickly. It also introduces her parents, played by David Harbour of Stranger Things fame, and Rachel Weisz. And then there's more of her origin, scenes to establish where as mentioned it takes place in continuity, and then more scenes to set up the plot. So it does take a short while to settle down. But the scenery, with moments in a couple of mainland European places, is fabulous. The plot then gets back to her family. We meet her sister, played by Florence Pugh. And things require it be a bigger family reunion... Two great set pieces follow. Then the best of the film, which is the family dynamic. The actors, especially Florence Pugh, are great, they all have a good dynamic together which really convinces in the writing and acting as being just like a family. And there's good humour also. Also introduced are villains Taskmaster. And a shadowy spy played by Ray Winstone with a somewhat variable accent. That's a compliment. A film of three thirds. After that crammed opening it settles down. The family stuff is great. But then it has to do lots of plot stuff. Which leads to action and a big battle, and...it's not quite as good as the family stuff. Taskmaster feels a bit underwhelming as a villain, and the portrayal might not please the comic nerds. But it's all watchable enough. Although you do come away thinking that the sister makes a bigger impression than the main character. Which possibly wasn't the intention. This is perfectly good and watchable. But it's been described as serviceable. Which is a good comment. Aside from a very end of the credits scene that is set up - for tv though not a coming movie - there's nothing else desperately essential here. Still, a perfectly decent movie for what it is. Just no more, no less. The dvd has the following language and subtitle options: Languages: English, Spanish, French, English audio description. Subtitles; English, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, Norwegian, Spanish, Swedish, French. For once with these dvds, probably because it doesn't mention Disney on it just Marvel studios, the disc goes straight into the menu when loaded, without any trailers or ads. This is a nice change. It doesn't have any extras at all though. So no change there then. It doesn't have a 3d version either. Because only two people want that, so it wouldn't be economical to produce one.

Buongiorno a tutti, Sono un collezionista di film Marvel, prima in 3D e oggi in 4K. Questo rientra nella mia collezione. Devo ancora gustarmelo. Ma ho visto il trailer e non vedo l’ora di guardarlo. Per cui non ho niente altro da aggiungere. Se sei un collezionista lo acquisti e basta.

I must say I appreciated this movie on the second viewing. Much better than some other MCU movies such as Captain Marvel and the last two Thor movies. Scarjo and Florence Pugh really did a good job. A must see if you watched the “Thunderbolts *” movie.
