Works great for cooking equipment repairs
I used some of this to fix the glass lid for my pressure cooker. The metal ring around the outside edge of the lid got a ding in in during shipping. Rather than spend the crazy markup on a replacement, i got this LavaLock RTV Silicone to run a bead around the edges to keep the lid together, and seal the edge of the glass. Bit of warning, this stuff is a pain to get off surfaces that it comes into contact with, so if neatness is important to you, masking tape, cardboard drop cloths, disposable gloves and paper towels are a good idea to have handy. Stuff works great for what i needed it for, and should work great for your high heat, food safe silicone needs,

Works well, but tube is poorly constructed.
Went on really well, until the bottom of the tube gave out about 30 seconds into application. I was able to finish sealing my smoker, but I was covered in silicone and wasted a lot of the product. Seriously, what a mess! It has firmed up well, and looks pretty good though time will tell how long it holds up for. If I were to do this again, I'd warm the tube up in my pocket for half an hour, and cut a larger hole in the tip. I've used products like this before and never had an issue with the tube popping. Oh well.

Solved a significant issue (I think)
On First Use: I read a lot about the tube busting, so I made sure to squeeze from the back so I could roll it early on. I had no issues with it. Also, it was easy to use. I have had surgery on my hand and don’t have a lot of strength. It cleans up well and goes on smooth! Now did I use it for its intended purpose? No. The seal from the glass top on my stove was disintegrating (as pictured) and this seemed to be the best option for repair. I don’t think it looks half bad! It is still wet, so I will update my review after it sets!

Worked for me !
I placed the the tube in some hot water from the tap for about ten minute and then set it in the sun to get the tube soften. It went on the seams of my grill without a tube malfunction. My grill is ready to go and all sealed up ! I’m satisfied with this product.

RTV450 So far so good!
Super tacky adhesive, seems to be commercial grade. Was pretty biscuits, had to work from the bottom of the tube. Actually spread pretty easily from the bead; reccomend using nitrile gloves for this. Appears to have held the gasket well, cured in time Frame as stated in tube. Will post after Lucy’s after I let it cure for 48 hours.

Worked very well on smoker
I used this to seal up the gaps in my Oklahoma Joe Longhorn Smoker. I ended up using this on both the lower-temperature cooking chamber and the higher-temperature firebox. The cooking chamber I wasn't worried about - the temps rarely exceed 250 degrees. The firebox, however, can get pretty hot even under normal circumstances and I was worried that this wouldn't hold up. I've done a few different smokes with this stuff, each one being approximately 12 hours. The adhesive is still very much working and I've noticed no problems at all. A few more months may show a different result, but I'm quite happy with this product so far. If it doesn't hold up then I'll likely have to use a higher grade, I just really wanted to use this one since both the adhesive and my smoker are black, and I don't really like the look of adding a bunch of red adhesive and messing up the nice look of my smoker.

Repaired a chipped glass stovetop with this, it worked perfectly and you could not even find the damage after it had set. Very easy to use as a DIY fix!

Works exactly how the product is advertised. I used it to create a gasket for my indoor oven, when I was replacing the inner door glass.
