Very good brush - a bit overpriced
Satisfactory for calligraphy but there are much better brushes from chinese suppliers. Overpriced for what it is.

Versatile soft hair brush
It keeps sharp point with very soft hair. I can depict thin line or paint big area. Also I can break the edge to paint grass. Very versatile brush.

Best brush for writing small scripts
I have tried many medium-priced brushes for writing small Chinese scripts. I have finally found this goat hair brush to be the one to use. Once the tip foams a fine point, it holds it much better than other brushes and that is very important to me. Other animal hair brushes tend to split after several strokes.

Ok product
Pure goat hair Hu brush is too soft for beginner to practice calligraphy. The product is decent in terms of pricing. It is very durable though.

Excellent soft brush. Beautiful point.
This is a great little brush. The refined horsehair holds ink very well, and even though the brush is very soft, it holds a point absolutely beautifully. I don't use this brush very often mainly because I am not sure what to use it for (my own practice is limited), but I have no criticism at all regarding the quality and properties.

This is the Most perfect mop/calligraphy brush for watercolour so far.... Water holding capacity is unimaginable. Pure goat/wool hair britsles holds lots of water, that you can wash larger area in painting in just one time. Only cons is little bit smaller than i expected, slightly overpriced, & few bristles fell down while painting.. Rest on of the best brush for watercolor artist compare to any brandes mop brushes.

I wanted to see if there would be a difference between these and mid-range watercolour brushes I already have. I was pleasantly surprised that these seem "authentic" - even for this low price. The brushes came nicely packaged with a lot of Chinese writing - nothing in other languages, so I hope this means they are targeting people who really want to paint the Chinese way. The bristles behave like what I see on the brushes Chinese artists use - after you lay down a stroke, the brush stays slightly bent, making a nice precise point at the end (it doesn't "bounce" back as much as regular brush. Holds ink/watercolour nicely. A few loose hairs at the beginning of use, but that's totally normal - so far, they're performing well! Most beginners would probably only need the small brush - I found the large one to be too big if you're doing a painting on a typical 9"x12" paper.
