QuikStaff Musicians Pen - Draws a 5 Line Music Staff on Any Blank Paper UPDATED

It takes a minute to get all the pens working, but once you do, it works just as promised. Perfect for adding a note reminder to band music or in the lesson book. I liked it so much, I bought one for both of my schools.

There are no instructions on the package and the website just repeats what's available here. To begin with, I didn't realize that the white pins package are, apparently, pencil alternatives to the five pens. How to replace the pens by the pencils is not discussed anywhere I can find. As expected, the pens worked unevenly, so, as suggested, I doodled with the pens extensively and was eventually able to get the five pens working. But, when it came time to use it on the piece I needed it for, the five pens did not work simultaneously, and you only get one chance to do it. Of course, the staff is difficult to draw straight, and a wavy staff does not get it! I was about to write that I'm not even going to bother returning it. Then, I changed my mind and wrapped it up the best I could, and I'm going to return it.

Works well! It takes a few tries to get it going for sure and the ballpoint caps were hard to remove, but still good!

I am glad I have it. I wish the pens were better, or felt tipped instead of ballpoint. I often have to do some scribbles to get all five pens working together. But it makes writing in my music students' notebooks soooo much faster.

Pen ink wasn’t coming out consistently. Not useable for its main purpose.

The plastic body does not stay together, so the replaceable pencil tips fall out. Not really impressed with this device.

Excellent. I thought it was a little overpriced but there's more to it than first glance. Most of all THE INK IS WATERPROOF!!! I needed this for mixed media art and it's perfect.

In theory it's great - but if you intend on throwing this in your bag, you're going to have a bad time with trying to keep the covers and eraser on. The replacements for the pencil are included, and the staff pen took a little to get going, but does the job. There's nothing inherently wrong with it - I think this just isn't one that works for me!

Each time you use it you have to scribble a lot to prime the pen so the lines will be drawn effectively. It works, priming wastes a lot of ink. The ink and tips are not the best. The erase pops out when using it too.

Objet très pratique mais aussi très fragile et de très mauvaise qualité; on a l'impression qu'il peut casser à tout moment. Également, le design est assez maladroit, j'ai décidé de ne même pas utiliser le crayon à mine de l'autre côté pour économiser de l'espace. Jusqu'à maintenant le produit marche correctement, après avoir enlevé la colle sur les embouts des stylos
