Great quality, instructions could be improved
I bought this to install over my outdoor EV charging equipment to give some shelter from direct sun, hail, snow. I wanted a strong structure that would look good. Pros: - very solid - looks professional quality - fairly quick to build (about 60-90 minutes working by myself) - included some (but not all) mounting hardware Cons: - written instructions and YouTube video seem to be partially outdated and could be clearer about to orient some pieces so drill holes are in proper orientation. - I had to undo two steps when I realized I missed a detail and hadn’t assembled some pieces correctly. - The upper lip/rain shield comes with nice mounting hardware. Rest of the structure doesn’t come with mounting hardware. I was able to get what I needed from local hardware store for a few dollars. - The instructions call for a clip that attaches the awning to the rain lip but the piece wasn’t included with the 3 foot version. Doesn’t seem needed. - would’ve liked more details on how to mount this in a brick wall. Instructions referenced M6/M8 hardware but details like washers would be nice. Notes: - installing this on the wall is a 2-3 person job. The assembled awning weighs 40 lbs and holding this in place while drilling in mounting hardware was a challenge with my wife using the power drill while I held the awning. - the awning is open on both sides. This isn’t a surprise and the pictures make this clear. To keep out rain/snow, would be nice to have an option to buy closed side pieces.

Nice unit.
We received our 80 inch awning today, it took us about an hour to put it together, one thing I would highly recommend is not using the enclosed (50) screws, they are self tapping, but they consistently break before completing the hole! Went together quite easy and it is very sturdy. I believe the center support has been updated to allow the awning to sit lower on the window or door, which is definitely needed!

Solid, attractive and fairly easy to install
I purchased the 48" awning to cover a recently installed split HVAC unit. The unit sat under the eave and was gathering ice when the snow melted and refroze. Did some research and settle on this awning. To be honest, I didn't have high expectations as I was leaning towards building a cover out of wood. But I gave this a try and I'm very glad I did. My son and I were able to assemble it (easy process) and install it (likely a 2-person job) within an hour or so. It absolutely does the trick of protecting the unit and I'm pleased I gave this a shot. Worth the money in my opinion!

Great product.
Much higher quantity that I expected. The instructions suck, but the online video was helpful. I've worked construction for decades so it was an easy install for me. I would not recommend assembly and install by a DIY without years of experience and an array of tools on hand.

makes a statement but had issues installing
Had my husband not been handy this would have been returned. Several holes did not line up so needed drilling. Also it is not made for a steel building so be aware you will need to seal the top to prevent water dripping. We used a foam roofing insert bought at Lowes topped with flex seal. We opted not to use the valance for this same reason as well as we did not want additional holes in our siding. You can see from photos we used straps to hoist it up and hold it in place until we could get it secured with bolts and wide washers we purchased separately because it is anchored all the way through our building. Our porch light placement determined the height. We think we would order the 36” depth if we had it to do over again just to give us more rain protection. But this 24” depth gives us enough as well as the look we were after and, it was certainly heavy enough for us to handle. A 36” one would require more help to install. Again not for the faint at heart to install. A professional is not always available for this sort of thing in our area. Price is not too bad on sale as it is a heavy awning and looks like quality. Overall pleased now that it is up.

Happy with this purchase!
This looks so good! Great quality! I had it installed by my contractor after replacing the shingles on one side of my house. I haven’t had it long, but very happy with this purchase. Shipped quickly too!
