Even though this is marketed as a baby sound machine, we actually use it as adults — and it works incredibly well. The white noise is clean and consistent, without the looping or mechanical hum you sometimes get from cheaper machines. It creates a steady background sound that masks household noise without being distracting, and it’s gentle enough to run all night. The built‑in night light is a nice bonus. It gives off a soft, warm glow that’s bright enough to navigate the room but dim enough that it doesn’t interfere with sleep. It’s the kind of light you don’t realize you’ll appreciate until you have it — especially for late‑night wake‑ups or early mornings when you don’t want to blast overhead lighting. The controls are simple and intuitive, which is something I appreciate in a device meant for nighttime use. You can adjust volume, switch sound modes, and toggle the night light without fumbling through complicated menus. The footprint is small enough to fit on a nightstand without taking over the space, and it feels sturdy rather than toy‑like. Even though it’s designed for babies and toddlers, it works perfectly for adults who want a reliable, soothing sound machine with a gentle ambient light. If anything, the fact that it’s built for infants means the sound quality is intentionally soft, calming, and non‑irritating — exactly what you want for better sleep. For the price, it’s a great little machine that delivers consistent performance and has become part of our nightly routine.

Update: I received the Hatch Gen 2 as a gift, I can now say with certainty, that I do indeed prefer the hatch, however there are pros and cons to both. The momcozy will work in a power outage if fully charged beforehand, the hatch will shut off entirely without power/being plugged in so it’s also less portable. I still have not downloaded the mom cozy app for the sound machine because I simply don’t want or need to, especially when all the tactical buttons on the machine make it effortless to use. The hatch NEEDS the app! I like the sound quality and dimmable light features better on the hatch than the mom cozy. And that’s about it. BOTTOM LINE: mom cozy is better price and better if you don’t want to rely on Bluetooth and WiFi and have an extra app. Hatch is better sound, light control, app experience, and eventually will be a sleep trainer “ok to rise” scheduling for a young child. I would have been just fine without receiving the hatch as a gift and continued to use the mom cozy sound machine! Original post: I debated buying this or the Hatch sound machine that looked almost exactly like it. I’m SO GLAD I bought this! I had it on my baby registry, was able to use my completion discount, and it was on sale, so I got it for less than half the price of the hatch! To be clear, I never bought the hatch, so I have no idea how good it really is. BUT. The light choices are great, not too bright or dark, perfect for just the right amount of light for night time feedings. It might not be bright enough for night time diaper changes, but if there’s another night light in the room, you might be fine. The 34 sound choices are great with adjustable volume. I love the tactical buttons on the machine, which means I DON’T need to download yet another app to my phone to control this. I can see why having the app is nice, but for right now, this machine is all we need. The charging device does have a backup battery so if power is out, or you have to take it to another room, you don’t have to worry about bringing the whole cord along too. If you’re looking for a sleep trainer, I would go for the hatch because of the programming and the app features…but if you just need a sound machine and a nightlight that is simple and is easy to use, and half the price of the hatch, get this! I’m glad I did!

Where do I begin? This is the number one best baby item I’ve ever bought and used daily out of all my 3 kids that now even if I didn’t have a baby I would still use for myself!! I am addicted to a sound machine for myself now! The touch light was amazing for those last night nursing sessions in the newborn days, I love the app!! I love all The different sounds and I also was impressed with the ability to be able to use it cord free for an hour or so! Like it can run on batteries if your power goes out or something or in the car! My toddler hears it now and says “night night” brown noise = bed time. It’s the best investment ever and perfect for creating good sleep hygiene. The look is very modern and sleek and matches most decor styles. Super easy to work and it functions well.

I bought this for my 1 year old who has a hard time sleeping without some kind of sound. He loves the fan sounds. The fan sounds work the best for him. There are some sounds that on it already but if connect to the app there is more options to help put your little one to sleep. This has been a big help for my little guy. He is finally sleeping in his own bed and sleeping most of the night. It also has option for time to shut down when you want but I keep it on until morning. There is color lights on it that my son loves to look at. It calms him down fast at bedtime. It only takes 5 minutes for him to fall asleep now. It works great. I would recommend this for any new parents. I'm a mom of 5 kids and I wished I had bought this when my other kids were little.

I love it, I just wish that the white light was a little brighter. The battery life is great. I’ve had it for a few months and it’s now making a clicking sound when I have music or sounds playing but it does go away after a while. It can get really loud but it can also be put at a comfortable level for baby. The app is also really easy to use once you get the hang of it. I find it a bit easier to use the app vs trying to figure out the controls on the machine itself

I bought this back in April of 2023 and everything still works great! The only issue that happens every once in awhile is that the light would randomly turn on and off. With a little bit of troubleshooting myself, I discovered it was actually the app itself glitching and sending a Bluetooth signal to turn the light off. Once the light is on and you turn off Bluetooth, the issue stops. Again this is a once in a blue moon issue. Other than that never had any problems. It lights up the room really good, I’d recommend using the red light as it’s not too bright to strain your eyes to sleep but it’s enough light for you to navigate through your/babies room.

This product far exceeded my expectations. Was just looking for a sound machine for my grandson but OMG I got so much more. There are so many more choices of sound to choose from. When I received the product was already charged and I was able to use it right away. There is also a light that when you tap the top it will change colors to the one you prefer. The cord length is long enough to keep the sound machine on the dresser and have plugged in. The volume is adjustable. It functions as advertised. The sound has a calming effect for my grandson. I would recommend to others. The price was reasonable. It does not take up much room on the dresser.

We've been using this sound machine for about three months now and it is perfect for us. I know there's an app component to this machine but honestly as new parents we were so sleep deprived and unwilling to download another thing onto our phones that we just never got around to it. We haven't needed it and I appreciate momcozy for making it possible to make manual adjustments instead of forcing us to go digital. I appreciate the different sounds available to choose (though we just randomly picked one of the white noise levels and have just stuck to that). It's also super handy that it keeps the settings you prefer so you just have to figure out what you want the first time and just press play every time after that. I'm sure as our son gets older we might play around more with the different sounds. I love that it is rechargeable and comes with a charging cable. We keep it plugged in almost all the time to minimize the chances of the machine turning off in the middle of the night. The nightlight has also come in handy every once in awhile during overnight feeds or during our bedtime routine as it's very soft and not too harsh. The easy tap to turn on and off is also perfect. The reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because we have had 2 instances where the sound machine turned off randomly which in turn woke my son up. We still haven't figured out what the problem was (it was also plugged in) and it turned back on immediately when we noticed and pressed play again. A little frustrating in the moment but 2 instances out of the hours and hours we use the machine every day over the course of 3 months doesn't seem too bad. I still think it is a crucial investment for getting our infant son to sleep better through the night and naps, but do think it is important to note that at least our product has had its moments. We've also been able to travel with this sound machine and it's portability made road trips and hotel stays super easy because my son had familiar sounds from home to help him sleep. I would definitely recommend!
