I love my Booms Rod Bag
This is a great rod bag. I store two 2 piece spinning rods with reels in it for traveling. When assembled the rods measure 10' and 11'. Perfect for California surf fishing. I am picking up one for my son for Christmas.

Great Protection for my $650 Rod and Reel
Had to drive down the coast from New York to Florida and wanted to take my expensive rod and reel. Didn't want it floating around loose in the vehicle, so I purchased this folding case. I was a bit skeptical at first, but after unpacking it, I understood about the versatility and protection that it would offer. It is a nice padded construction and has a full-length zipper to allow easy in and out access. There is an extra folding flap to accommodate longer rods if needed, else, it can be folded inside neatly when not needed. The case appears to be durable but not stiff, so it can be gently maneuvered around equipment and luggage in the vehicle without stressing the rod. All in all a good choice for the casual transport of a fishing rig. I would not recommend this for transport on an airline as it does not have a rigid liner, but for day to day carrying in a vehicle or to and from a fishing site, this is a perfect solution.

A must for travel
Great quality. We used this carrier to transport fishing rod on the plane. Sturdy material. Perfect protection and size for fishing gear

as advertised and seems of good quality
This is of nice quality and came as advertised. I was looking for something that had just the right amount of padding and this fits.

Three 9’ salmon rods and reels. Cool!
Took me a while to pull the trigger on this one, but I’m glad I did. It easily handles three salmon rods with 4000 reels. I have two 9’ ugly sticks and a 9’6” Diawa in the smaller 52-60” version. With the extender open, it fits perfectly. I’m convinced the larger version would’ve been too big. The “belly” of this case could certainly carry additional tackle if you only have one to two rods. I put an old dish towel between the reels to protect them from bashing against each other. If I used those padded pockets they sell I would certainly have less capacity. All in all, I definitely recommend.

Protective case for fishing poles with DIY modification to add more protection.
I have 2 spinning rod combos that cost me over $600 for the pair. I have twice destroyed my rods on the way to the fishing hole getting crushed by shifting cargo in the truck bed on rough mountain roads. After replacing my rods, I looked for a way to protect my investment from damage while traveling. I found this Booms Fishing Rod Case to help protect my 2 rods and reels. It is a pretty good protective case but not long enough for my 6' rods. It is only a padded case that offers some protection but would not prevent the crushing accidents I have had in the past. With a modification I have found a way to protect the rods. Reels are not protected from crush accident but better protection from elements than without the case. I added a PVC pipe w/ cap that I can slip in 2 rods w/ reels that fits within the Booms case. It is OK that pipe extends out past the end of the rod case. I am not using the 8" extension since my pipe will extend past the end either way. For me, the extension stays folded within the 5' 4" case. Now my rods are protected and ready to travel. This modification that extends out past the end of the case renders the shoulder strap ineffective to carry over shoulder due to its placement. I recommend this case with DIY PVC insert to protect your investment during travel.

This item works perfectly for storing and carrying the mid-size beach umbrellas!!!
I am using these covers for an entirely different use than designed for. Instead of fishing gear, I store my mid-size beach umbrellas in them. I was totally unable to find a cover designed for that purpose. Only regular umbrellas or the larger beach umbrellas.
