POC Hip VPD 2.0 Unisex Protective Shorts

I've used Dirt Dog, Dainese, and 661 protective gear before, but following a very bad accident was recommended POC, These shorts are incredibly low profile and because of the nature of the VPD material as it warms up from your body heat becomes very malleable to the point that you hardly even notice it. The great thing is that when you do take a tumble the VPD does exactly what its designed to do and stiffens to protect on impact. I wear these shorts along with POC helmet Gloves and Spine jacket for skiing and mountain biking and have found the whole set up to be superb. I could not recommend these shorts highly enough. A number of my riding and skiing buddies have now also bought them too. If I had a criticism it is that they are a little expensive but you get what you pay for.

I'm already a fan of POC protection gear and have quite a bit of VPD upper body protection but wasn't expecting too much for such a lightweight short. You can definitely ride in these all day and barely notice you have them on. Had a couple of heavy crashes at the bike park and the protection was excellent.

Li uso per ciclismo. Dopo una prima perplessità riguardo la rigidezza delle protezioni e il peso devo però dire che , una volta in bici, risultano molto comodi e ci si dimentica di averli indossati. Il tessuto e la fattura sono ottimi. La protezione per il coggige (che è estraibile) non serve per il ciclismo e quindi va tolta. Manca il classico fondello perchè normalmente viene utilizzato quello dei normali pantaloncini da ciclista che si mettono sopra. Fortunatamente da quando li ho non sono caduto quindi non so dire l'efficacia però le protezioni sembrano valide e robuste. Unico neo il prezzo veramente caro.

Se ve de muy buena calidad, vivo en el sur de España y da algo de calor no se puede utilizar en verano, la protección se ve buena, todavía no me caído y espero no hacerlo, pero si me pasará con el puesto me quitaría bastante
