My Kitchen Aide 4.5 qt mixer is 40yrs old & still runs Great! It came w/the standard paddle & wire whip, just as the mixer set does now. But 1 of my wires on the whip had become detached on 1 end. But since whip still worked just noisey, because of not wanting to use sotter to reattach, for concern that sotter might gradually break off into food while whip was being used, I just put up w/ the "racket" When I realized that replacement whips were available for a model as old as mine (Christmas 1982!) I immediately ordered this one. I was shocked that this whip was SO Much Better than my Original! It's So Much Sturdier & better engineered than my 40 yr old one that I immediately tossed in garbage as soon as I realized the new one was a better quality, weight& a perfect fit. I Would Highly Recommend to Anyone needing to replace their Original K.A. wire whip!

This is a SOLID stainless steel wire whisk. It fits the Kitchen-aid Artisan 5Q bowl perfectly. I bought the mixer used on FB market as an extra since my original Kitchen-aid is over 40 years old and I love it. Unfortunately, my original Kitchen-aid was far superior and I couldn’t understand why the whisk I received was tarnished. After research, I found that the artisan whisk was not dishwasher safe because the attachment was not solid stainless. THIS ONE IS! IT IS DISHWASHER SAFE! I couldn’t be more happy with this purchase!

After receiving this, I realized the whip that came with my mixer was not stainless steel. I believe it was aluminum based on the way it aged after using for years. It also bent, which was why I had to replace it. This one is heavy duty, stainless steel, and fit perfectly. It was a happy accident I was forced to get a replacement.

I purchased the Aligat AGT-02 Wire Whip for the Kitchenaid K45SS mixer. I also purchased the KitchenAid K45WW brand wire whip at the same time. The price is about the same but the Aligat brand is far superior in build quality. The Aligat is stainless steel and can be put in the dishwasher. The KitchenAid brand is NOT stainless steel and the box says do not put it in the dishwasher. The Aligat is heavier, the wire whip is thicker and stiffer, and in general appears to be a far stronger whip. It will be a few months before durability questions can be answered, but I expect the Aligat brand will out-perform the KitchenAid K45WW. Get the Aligat.

Fix my mixer perfectly. Very well made and sturdy. Will definitely order again when needed.

If your whisk hits there is a small screw you turn near the neck of the mixer on most that adjusts the height

This metal whisk is strong and shiny. It fits my 20 year old KitchenAid mixer perfectly. I ran it through the dishwasher and it’s just like new. The whisk that came with my mixer was dingy and the metal had eroded, leaving marks every time I touched it. I worried it would affect the food. I was about to throw my mixer away when I found this great replacement. My only question is: why didn’t KitchenAid make a nice whisk like this?! Buy it. You won’t regret it.

This whisk is great. Exactly what the doctor ordered. In the past I ordered a similar item on Amazon that wasn't actually dishwasher safe stainless steel. So, I was hesitant on ordering this whisk, but thankfully and victoriously it delivers in spades. This is a terrific buy.
