Working great in an owl box
The media could not be loaded. Very happy with the ease of setup. It has been reliable for the few months it has been operating.Solar panel easily keeps the camera charged at 100%.Closest wifi is about 40 ft away and indoors. The signal is good enough to watch live or download videos.A nice feature of the mobile app is that any number of devices can connect to the camera. Everyone in our family likes to be able to check in on the owl from their own phone.Since it is inside an owl box, we don't have to deal with unwanted motion sensing issues, so I can't speak to what this would be like as a security camera. For a small and simple nature-cam that needs to be fully wireless, definitely recommend. Considering getting another one for outside the box so we can watch the owl hunt.

I love these cameras
These cameras are great. I bought the solor panels with them so after the first charge I haven't had to charge them again and I have had them over a year. I bought 2 but one just quit a little over a year after we had it. The motion detection is great and the pic is very good clear quality. They were very easy to set up and hang up. I bought a SD card for storage for it cause I didn't want to pay for Cloud services each month. I like using the SD storage. I will definitely be buying them again. They are great cameras for a great price. I am very happy even though one stopped working a little over a year later.

Camera failed, but customer support has been very good
I don't write reviews too often. But, I want to give a shout out to Reolink on this one. We have two of these reolink cameras set up as "owlcams" on our barn owl nest box. One has been running flawlessly since 2021. The other one failed after a year and a half. But, Reolink has worked with us and has sent us a replacement, the latest version. The other think I want to mention is that the wifi on these is pretty good. It has direct unobstructed line of site to our router, but it is probably 100' from it, and the signal is strong enough.

Motion-activated, night vision, stand-alone units
The media could not be loaded. Each individual camera is a bit pricey when you include a solar panel (~$86/ea), but that makes them hassle-free after installing. The motion detection is mostly good. There's a couple times when a very sneaky dark colored cat did not trigger the camera at night (even with sensitivity maxed). These were at a distance of about 15-20 feet away. But it always triggered the cameras when up close (within 5 feet of camera). The solar panels will keep the battery topped off, even in the shade (if it's not constantly detecting motion).Night vision is pretty decent (see attached videos). Love the time lapse feature on this model (older ones do not have time lapse)I also like that connecting to the internet is optional. Each camera has a micro SD slot for storage. No need to bother with the "cloud".Complaints:1) Downloading videos is cumbersome, requiring that you keep the app open. This can take a while if you have multiple clips to grab. The time lapse can't be repeated automatically on a schedule. You have to manually set each time. Also, you have to manually tell it to process and finalize each time lapse, which takes a while. But the result is nice.2) Battery is now built into the device. It's no longer removable (like the older models were). Might not be a big deal to some people.3) Connecting to each camera is sometimes finicky. It will work, but sometimes you might have to click on different days to get the recordings to load for viewing. Not optimal, but useable.4) Font on the timestamp and location cannot be changed. When it's really sunny, certain positions of the sun cause reflections of the light on some surfaces, which creates white spots that make the text virtually unreadable. I'd recommend implementing a software update to put a thin black border around text.

Good quality video, easy to use and setup
I’ve had 2 cameras with the solar charger going into month 7 and haven’t had an issue with either camera. Both cameras are out in the open, without any protection from rain, snow, or sun year round and have held up well and still charging. One of the 2 cameras battery is only charging up to 98% so it’s lost some efficiency, not a big deal for me after 7 months of use. The quality of the picture is good for me, I’m not trying to read license plates from 50+feet away. As expected, there is morning dew on the outside of the lenses in the morning but quickly clears up as the sun comes up. The cameras are setup between 20-40 feet from my Wi-Fi router, going through drywall and brick, the signal works at that distance fine. As a cordless option without monthly fee’s, I would recommend this camera.

Only purchase if you’re into purchasing the extended warranties
Worked fine, until it didn’t. I kept this mounted under my eve, out of direct sunlight and rain. It lasted exactly 2 years (give or take a few days) then completely stopped working. I contacted their support crew and after repeatedly telling them I’d followed all of thier recommended steps, they then forwarded my claim to their warranty group who said my warranty had expired. So, if you do purchase this, plan to purchase the “extended warranty” or you’ll definitely be SOL after 2 years.
