Q: will this work with a 750 mV system?

I had this thermostat installed in one of my rental units. It worked great for about 1 year. My renter complained of the heat not coming on at the agreed upon temperature set point (72 degrees F). My renter would increase the set point and the heater would then come on. After investigating the situation, I discovered smoke had contaminated the thermostat contacts. After cleaning the contacts the thermostat would function as designed until smoke contaminated the contacts again. I installed a thermostat having sealed contacts which solved the problem. So, bottom line, yes this thermostat will work on a 750 mv system. However, if this thermostat operates in a contaminated environment be prepared to clean the contacts periodically.

Q: I have 3 wires,This thermostat has only connections for 2 wires.Can I still use it?

This will depend on your situation. If you are just trying to use it for turning on and off a heat source, then it should work just fine. Follow the instructions carefully. Even though you have 3 wires, I'm guessing one of the 3 is not being used. Follow the wire to the other end and see if all 3 wires are hooked up. If there are only 2 hooked up, those same 2 wires will be what you use at the stat. The stat is just like a light switch, just lower voltage. Power will come from your transformer, through the stat, then to the device control you want to turn on. Q: is this a 2 wire connection?

yes 2 wire, but be careful...no off switch even though picture may show one.

Q: Where to set adjustment lever for a lp gas fireplace? i tried 0.4 (factory setting / gas <90% eff) and fireplace had lower flame than before.

this unit only activates a contact that is activating buy the temp that the setting is placed at, it does not control the amount of gas at your fireplace, or how the flame is burning
