VIVO Steel Wall Mount Bracket Designed for Xbox Series X Gaming Console, Horizontal and Vertical Display, Open Design, Black, Mount-XSXU1

Bought this a couple of years ago to wall mount my Xbox Series X. The very first thing I noticed is that the metal is pretty beefy and it is heavy. As you can see in the photo, it is almost 1/8” thick (30mm), so I was completely confident it would easily support my system. The black powder coating is also a nice matte finish with no chips or scratches. It easily mounted into a stud with a couple of screws and I could just about hang from it. I would never use a drywall anchor to mount a $500 piece of equipment, so those went in a drawer right away. It comes with bumpers that you install on the tabs to protect your system’s finish, but the suggestion about how to attach them seemed a little odd: if I recall it was like installing the squishy foam part on the metal tab as a spacer and then covering it with the harder plastic bumper—I doubled up and put a piece of foam on the metal tabs and another against the system itself to prevent scratches. I was a little concerned about securing the system at the top using a screw with a rubber bumper to put pressure on it to hold it in place, but in 2 years it hasn’t budged. The only thing to be aware of before mounting is that if you’re concerned with aesthetics, turn your Xbox so the rubber feet are toward the wall and mount on the side that makes it easy to access the disc drive, otherwise you’ll be staring at its nubbins. The extra accessories were a nice bonus, and the price is great considering the top notch fit and quality. I absolutely recommend and would not hesitate to buy this again, although I will never need to!

I thought about getting another Total Mount since I had a decent experience with using it with my Xbox One S, but the newer X Series mount didn’t look as clean or minimalist as the previous generation. So after searching for wall mounts for X Series on Amazon, I found this one and am definitely pleased with its minimalist appearance, ease of build, steel construction, installation of system, the 2 additional wall mounted controller holders, and the forward thinking of the horizontal method for mounting the system for those who want that option. The steel is very heavy duty and it is more than adequate for keeping my system safe on the wall as there is zero wiggle. Assembly and install times for me: 10 min assembly for the wall bracket itself and another 5 mins or so to get it up on the wall. I would recommend using some actual drywall anchors from your local hardware store as the ones included are the cheap generic ones. I ended up using some 75 lb rated EZ Drywall Anchors from Depot and only ended up using 4/5 mounting holes as I had 2/5 holes into the same stud. Instruction quality was quite nice and can definitely say I will be recommending this mount and will look for more from this company in the future. If curious, at the time of my purchase, I paid about $5 less for a complete steel bracket and all included hardware over the other major brands out there and their plastic builds and included hardware. I felt Vivo more than met my desires in getting an outstanding wall mount for a more than fair price.

Good mount easy to mount and works xbox has been on the wall for half a year.

We bought this holder for their xboxes. And it has been such a space saver. We were able to put the xboxes on the wall and it worked perfect. It was so easy to mount on the wall and it was super sturdy. The hold for the Xbox was firm no wiggles. Great value

I wanted to mount my Xbox behind my wall mounted tv where space was limited and for that purpose this turned out to be an excellent choice as it did not add much depth beyond the width of the Xbox itself. First off, I'm writing this review considering the mount is very inexpensive at $20. Pros: 1) Very solid - if you mount this with the provided sheet rock anchors or better yet mount two of the screws into a wall stud, this will hold the Xbox securely in place. 2) Powder coat finish is excellent, so what little of the bracket that does show is not likely to get dinged. 3) Instructions have been thoughtfully completed - I find it very common to receive instructions that are incomplete, ambiguous, or for a different version of a product. Part labeling was accurate and instructions were clear. Cons: 1) When this product was produced the threaded holes (there are 9 in total) were tapped and then the power coat applied. There was no masking of the threaded holes, so some power coat clogged the threads. Ideally the tapping should be done after the powder coat to avoid this problem. For two of the tapped holes simply tightening the screws (not while trying to assemble) with enough force was sufficient to allow the screw to fully insert. Unfortunately the screw which acts as the locking mechanism for holding the Xbox in place was much tougher. This was a bigger issue as this is the last step in the assembly process so I did not discover this until the assembly was mounted to the wall. Additional force on the screw was not sufficient, so I re-tapped the hole (M4 for reference). I'm guessing not many people have an M4 tap at home. If you do purchase one I suggest that you thread this screw (Part K or L - depends on horizontal versus vertical mount) as your first step and definitely before mounting the assembly to the wall. 2) The kit includes adhesive foam pads to protect the Xbox case and to prevent noise from vibration when the fan runs. Step 1 of the instructions has the semi-circular foam pads (H) attached to the lower support (B). Step 7 has the hard plastic spacers (F) placed between the foam and the Xbox - which partially defeats the purpose of the foam pads. I ended up removing the foam pads (with some tearing of the foam) and placing them on the Xbox facing side of the plastic spacers which I would recommend as the better approach. 3) When assembled the wall facing side of the mount is concave with the mounting screw holes towards the center. To avoid creating creases in the walls and increasing the probability of paint being removed with the bracket whenever it is removed, I would suggest placing four adhesive felt pads on the wall facing side of the mount, towards (but not on) the side supports (C). Overall, the product is really solid and does a great job and I believe it was the best choice for what I needed and better than I would expect for $20. I knocked down the rating 1 star for the hassle of having to tap out the screw mount on the upper support (D) as this is not a practical work around for a DYI job.

Well made, - only downfall is the xbox series x is made to only be really on the right side of the tv with the rubber feet against the wall in this mount, Mine is on my left side of my tv and I am settling for it due to my ps5 and switch being on the other side. Great mount, wont need another one but recommend everyone to do this to their systems as it prevents any kind of fall damage.

Heavy duty, cheap but not cheaply made. Has two options for mounting. And has held up my kids xbox and controllers for a few months now with no concern.

I plan to hide the wiring through the drywall but as is, it really cleans up the room. Would definitely recommend to others not wanted to spend over 50 canadian on a mount. Oh and it's made out of metal with soft touch point tabs so it's both sturdy and protects the shell of the console!
