The Durabox did not come with instruction I found the instructions on Durabox website. Easy installation, the closing lid is tight and will not shut close by it self unless you push down on the lid. I returned the Durabox for exchange for a new item and the replacement has the same issue, lid still not closing, I will keep and use the Durabox. Maybe after some use the closing lid will be looser I hope.

Got this to go through a wall in to a room. Install took about 40 minutes. Nice heavy metal with powder coating paint. Works like a charm!

This is a really nice mail slot. Easy to install. The metal is sturdy. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because the flap doesn't lay completed closed. Also there are gaps in the hinge part. Those gaps and the door not completely shutting allows air/dirt/light to come into the house. The door we replaced didn't have these gaps. Really disappointed about that but otherwise I really like it. Works well

This is what a "mail slot" should be!! Durable, perfect design for our needs and good looking.

Useful tool to protect your mail

Solidly built. Outside piece anchors nicely. The inside piece needs a flange resizing to work better with gypsum board. I could only use the bottom holes. Otherwise it is solidly anchored.Remember that this is not a weather tight product. In a cold climate, the metal construction through the wall can cause drafts and condensation at the interior. Best to use under cover in a temperate climate or in a vestibule.Be sure to keep valuables out of the line of sight through the slot.
