Great suction and looks brand new (Amazon Renewed – Shark NV360)
Deluxe as soon as it arrived. It had been about two weeks since I last vacuumed the bedroom carpets, and the difference was very noticeable. It pulled out a lot of dust and hair, and you can really feel that it deep cleans the carpet, not just the surface. Even though this vacuum is Amazon Renewed, it arrived in excellent condition. It looked impeccable, like new, with all the parts included and very clean. Assembly was quick and easy, and it worked perfectly right out of the box. The suction power is strong, especially on carpet, and it handles hair very well. The Lift-Away feature is also very convenient for cleaning corners and different areas around the house. Overall, this renewed NV360 performs just like a new one. If you’re thinking about buying an Amazon Renewed vacuum to save money, this is a great option. I’m very satisfied with the performance and quality.

Good value, build quality and effective on all surfaces. Buy renewed and save it from the land fill.
Parts were missing from the box and it was a bit more beat up then "used, like new". I do very much like the functionality of this vacuum and the seller made it right with a partial refund on the missing parts. I was able to take the money I saved and buy the missing parts at no additional cost to me. In the end it was much less then a brand new vacuum. The suction is very good, and the better bar clears my cat's hair out of the rug much better the the hoover I got specifically for pet hair, go figure. I am very fastidious about keeping the filters clean and dumping the canister and this machine is as good as any in that regard. All the elements are cleanable except the hepa exhaust filter but I have an air compressor so I just blow it out. I have hear that the beater bar motor is separate from the vac motor and there is no belt to replace. That is good and bad. It's good because the beater bar doesn't steal power from the blower. It also makes it possible to turn off for hardwood floors. It's bad because it it burns up it has to be replaced and that is not easy or cheap. If you stay on it and keep it clean and free of tanglers then you may may never need to get it fixed. Still would be nice to service it yourself should the need arise. It is a bit on the heavy side but the versatility of the lift-away feature mitigates that. I have found it makes vacuuming stairs easier for example. Honestly I remember when shark was an infomercial brand and thought of it as below standard. If that was true then I don't know but today I can say I am over my bias. Frankly I wish I had gotten past it sooner. Before I bought the hoover would have been nice. But that's how bias quietly works against you I guess.

Great buy, easy to use
I'm very happy with this Hoover Carpet cleaner. It's lightweight, you can carry it easily. It's easy to use, fill up the water reservoir and add the soap to the water, there's a line on the jug so you know how much to use. I used Rocco & Roxie soap since it has a zillion 5 stars reviews. I was surprised how well it worked. I was worried about smell but after an hour, it smelled like a dry cleaned shirt, maybe like starch. The next day, there is zero smell. The carpet cleaner has brushy-gripy rollers that pull out pet hair in the carpet and brings the carpet back to life, the fibers popped back up like new carpet. The machine was easy to clean out. The front clear piece opens up, turn the rollers and a load of pet hair comes right off, kind of like dryer lint but it was wet. I'm very happy with the carpet cleaner and with Rocco & Roxie original stain & odor eliminator. Oh! Best thing ...the carpet isn't crunchy, it's soft!

Best vacuum I’ve ever had
This is my third shark navigator. I like it because it’s lightweight. It swivels, which makes it easy to go around corners it detaches to make it easier to vacuum stairs. The best part-It sucks up dirt like nobody’s business. I have one for upstairs. One for downstairs and I bought one for my elderly mother as it is lightweight and easy to use

Good for hard floors and low carpet, not for thick pile carpet.
I have a Hoover self-propelled upright vac that's bullet proof and built like an Army tank. It does a great job on all kinds of floors, but it's heavy. As my wife and I get older, we find it difficult to carry the Hoover 'heavy weight' up and down stairs. I thought we'd keep the Hoover on one floor and get a second vac for the other. I reviewed information about upright vacs in Consumer Reports and picked out the one that was rated high for both hard floors and carpets. I received the 'reconditioned' Shark Navigator a few days ago and tested it today. There are pros and cons. One part, the 'accessories holder' was missing. We checked and double checked the packing material, but it was not to be found. Assembly instructions were not included. The Warranty sheet for reconditioned products sent me to the 'reconditioned' website. I wanted to print a copy, but one page of the assembly instructions would not print properly. I ran an open search on the internet with the brand and model and found the instructions I needed at the Shark website. The file printed properly with wording big enough to read without a magnifying glass. After assembling the machine without the accessories holder, I plugged it in and turned it on. A big 'plug' of dirt landed in the cannister. It had been in there for a while because the 'plug' was in the shape of the inside of the hose. The person who 'reconditioned' the machine didn't check for dirt plugs in the hose. The machine sucks like crazy! If dirt is loose, it'll be sucked into the machine. It worked great on hard floors and thin or low pile carpeting. We have two rooms with deep pile carpets, and this is where the old Hoover self-propelled really shines. It took lots of effort to push and drag the Shark through deep carpet. I have arthritis in my wrists so that wasn't working. It sucked up dirt just fine, though. The other thing most folks won't like is that the Shark leaves tracks and grooves in thick carpet. It makes carpet look like it was used as a drag strip! Someone had put deodorizer/fragrance in the machine. It was strong and stunk up the entire room with an awful smell. I hate deodorizes. They smell worse than the odors they try to cover up. Couple that with a design that blows exhaust in your face and it's disgusting. The air exhaust is louvered upwards to direct the air flow away from the floor. With the handle angled down in a normal vacuuming position, the air blows into the operator's face! I wonder if the people who designed the machine actually tried using it. I'll try washing the filters to get the odor out. I suggest users take the machine outside before emptying the canister the first time. I accidentally hit the button that opens the trap door as I was pulling the canister free. It dumped the dirt on the machine and floor. I had to use my DeWalt handvac to clean up the mess. Hoover doesn't make a self-propelled vac anymore. Maybe I should have applied the money I spent on the Shark on a used self-propelled unit, instead. Whether I send the Shark back will depend on if I can get that awful odor out of it.
