This ramp helps little Axel join us at night. He can’t jump up on the bed.
This product is great. My husband assembled the ramp so I can’t comment on that. Axel, our dog, is unable to jump up to get on our bed at night. We had wooden stairs which worked well but he was always hitting his back legs. The ramp is great now that he is familiar with it. He has a problem with one of his rear legs. A few years ago he was able to sit up. He no longer can do that. It is also difficult for him to sit on command. The ramp is the best thing for his independence. He loves being able to walk up the ramp without hitting his leg. The ramp is sturdy and folds up when not in use. We store it under the bed. It will take a dog a few tries before they get used to it and then it won’t be a problem for them.

My dog learned to use this immediately.
My dog has arthritis in her right elbow which has been causing a limp. Dr. said no more jumping up onto and down off the couch, her favorite place to keep an eye on the neighborhood. The AlphaPaw ramp was the perfect solution. It adjusts to the perfect height. One session of training, of course with treats, and my dog got the idea and uses it all the time. The limp is going away and I don't have to keep her off her favorite place. I would recommend this product to any pet parent with an aging dog to help them maintain a happy quality of life.

It’s OK
I tried stairs, but my dog wasn’t having it so I bought this ramp instead. It arrived with chips in the wood and fuzz from the ramp pulling off it. My dog will walk up it when pushed or helped, but still refuses to do it on his own. Besides the wood chips, my only other complaint is it has collapsed to a different height level while he is on it a couple of times (he is a beagle and not a large or overweight dog). We don’t play with it or adjust it ever so there is no reason this should be happening. Overall, I am glad I bought it. I just wish he would use it instead of sitting next to the bed howling for help up.

Woof. Cheap build, bad craftsmanship, worse smell
As it arrived, this is worth no more than half the price. Extremely low quality material choices. At best it's backed with 1/8" board covered in a thin, low traction, low thread count carpeting. It should not flex as I push on it with my hands and yet it does. Little grip on the flimsy material and my dog is only 40lbs. It needs more depth and denser pile for nails and pads to sink into. Supporting wood structure not only looks terrible with dings, dents, chips, missing paint, and globs of glue in areas that require no glue - but it also smells terrible too. None of this damage was in shipping, it is 100% poor build quality off the line. I am truly shocked at the number of seemingly positive reviews. The product has likely changed for the worse. You can't expect much for it's reasonably affordable price, but it looks like it should have been rejected in QA. I understand times are tough and this company is probably cutting corners to maintain their record profits for investors - I get it. But raise the price rather than create literal garbage. Remove the foam packaging while you are at it. As for the functionality and design: Yes it folds and folds well enough. It weighs enough to not tip for the mentioned 40lb dog. I don't think the base is wide enough to create stability for an animal much larger though. It's narrowness also might make the animal feel uncomfortable or awkward as it would have to approach and use the ramp exactly straight on. Animals don't work that way so their front end might get on at 45° and the width isn't there for them to straighten out. This product was originally marketed towards dachshunds who's body shape and behavior do exactly this. Long, awkward, hard to maneuver little beasts that we love. Clearly this was not designed or created by someone who understands animals.

More of a slide than a ramp
Ramp is sturdy and comes fully assembled. Those are the good points. The bad points: unit is made of unfinished wood and carpet is permanently attached meaning weatherproofing for outdoor use is impossible (if vehicle entry is it’s intended purpose.) and carpet can’t be replaced once worn or dirty. The carpet is ribbed but VERY slick making it more of a slide than a ramp. Raised over 8 “ and dog’s paws begin to slip while trying to go up. I purchased this to help my older beagle get up onto my new bed ( which is taller than my old bed) where he usually sleeps. At about 16” height ramp is so slippery that my beagle was actually slipping back as he tried to run up ramp. I then lowered it to use as a kind of inclined step. Beagle got so frustrated with slipping that he refused to use it even while coaxing him with treats. Unless your dog has cleats for feet or what your pet is mounting is less than 10” high you will be very disappointed

5 tail wags for PawRamp
Our senior pug loves it! With our dog entering senior years, her ability to jump up onto the couch with us was starting to become difficult. I saw an ad online for pawramp and thought I would give it a try. We were not disappointed. The set up was super easy, no assembly at all. It is very sturdy and we don't have to worry about it collapsing or tipping.

Go get it!
Yes, it’s a little more expensive than the others. But when I was at my friends house, I noticed her dog was using the ramp. Keep in mind I tried everything for my senior dog, and nothing worked. I tried steps, two different versions, and she wouldn’t use them or she had trouble getting down the steps. I bought another ramp and she would slide down it and didn’t want to use it. This ramp is solid, and has grips the, make it easy to go up and down. It’s pricey than the others but it’s so worth it.

Love this ramp!! My little mini dachshund learned to use it within just a couple of days and now she loves running up onto the bed. The design is solid, feels sturdy. The wood looks good and the carpet is effective for preventing slipping. A bit of an odor but it's fading quickly. I'm picky about design and this ramp looks good, it's easily adjustable to multiple heights as well.

Très simple - il peut s adapter a différentes hauteur. Mieux qu un escalier - je recommande

It's a good ramp. It's not slippery at all like some of the reviews said. It is carpeting with long bumps across it for grabbing on. I could see it being slippery or an animal falling if you have it set up to steep. For that reason I would suggest this be mademlonger for the higher heights. Otherwise great ramp. Simple to use. Sturdy for our mini golden doodle, cats and ferrets.
