Quality, reliable sleep sack brand!
I've had at least 4 or 5 of these sleep sacks for both my kids through the years. Their snaps and seams have always been sturdy through regular machine washing and drying, which is more than I can say for a lot of brands, including more expensive bamboo ones. My 1 year old daughter loves her cozy, fluffy sleep sack and when I ask to take it off it the morning she says "no." 😂 This one is super warm, our other favorite when it's a bit warmer in the house is the tee-shirt fabric. So soft. I wish this company would offer more new designs (they've had relatively the same ones through my 2 kids, 3 yrs apart) but I keep coming back because they are such high quality. Highly recommend!

PROS and CONS from a mom of 5
Product: Baby DeeDee Sleep Nest Teddy Sleep-sack in white , size Large 18+ month PROS: - Durable, easy to wash and dry (tumble dry low). Washed on a normal wash cycle with towels, inside out with zipper zipped up. I had the medium size for my baby and used it everyday (swapped out 2 of the same size so I could have 1 to use, 1 in the wash, washed once every 3 days). It held up great and has not shrunk or ripped or pilled. - Size fits great. My baby was 6 months when I had him in the medium size version of this same product, and he used it till he was 14 months. It was definitely quite large (long at the feet, didn’t seem to bother baby, and he flipped over and back just fine). We are now currently in the 18-36 month version and we still love it. CONS: -Shoulder button tabs were amazing! UNTIL he was about 12 months and figured out how to unbutton it. Then he would climb out of it, and just toss it out if his crib. Of course he was cold when we discovered this several mornings in a row. Not to mention, the now loose and free sleep sack could become a hazard to the baby. After the 2nd time he had gotten out of it, I looked for a new product. But since I loved everything else about this product, I didn’t want to switch to something else. So I got creative and stitched the shoulder together (so you can’t pull the tabs open any longer, and you now have to feed his arms through the holes as you would do so when putting on his shirt or onesie). Did this interfere with putting the baby in and out of it? It did not affect our baby as we always put him in the sleep sack BEFORE putting him to down for bed in his crib. (We put him down awake, after singing him a lullaby, and he puts himself to sleep). -Another con might be that the zipper end doesn’t have a cover. You zip from the top down (zipper starts at baby’s chest/neck then zips downward to his feet. So the zipper is almost the same length as the sleep sack. The part by the neck/chest where the zipper starts doesn’t have a little fabric piece to cover it. Nor does the bottom area where the zipper ends. So the zipper kind of goes flappity-flap. Now I have a sewing machine so I just added a little cover at both ends. Although, my little guy did not seem very bothered by it at all. I just sewed a cover for before he figured out how to unzip it. 5th baby...you just can’t be too careful, gotta stop the before they start. Q&A: -Can your baby stand and roll over in this sleep sack? Mine can just fine. I always find him standing when I go in his room in the mornings. -Does the fabric breath? My baby sleeps for 13 hours in it from 6:30pm until 7:30am. (For those curious, I use a sound machine on low for ambient noise, temp set to 69 degrees). I check on him once or twice throughout the night, he’s not sweaty or cold and is sleeping peacefully in his crib. We currently use a Carters size 18mo long sleeve onsie and socks and this sleep sack. He does wake up around in the early morning but puts himself back to sleep within minutes. All in all, I rate this product 5 stars, even with the cons. I have washed and dried this product once every 3 days for 12 months with ZERO issues. I was skeptical of the durability when I saw the negative reviews, but I’m glad I took a chance. My baby is currently 18 months (started wearing the 18-36 month large size when he was 15 months), and he’s been using the baby deedee sleep nest sleep sack since he was 6 months, and he seriously sleeps better and longer with it. So this momma is happy camper. I did NOT receive a free product, I did NOT receive compensation for my review.

My baby is so comfy and cozy!
Wonderful product! Great quality, super soft and warm. My baby is comfy and cozy, while he also has a lot of kicking room. He seems to really like sleeping in it! I love that it feels lightweight, so when I pick him up to feed in the night, it's not cumbersome. At the same time, it's quilted and lined, so he's still warm.

Just buy it!
LOVE THIS SLEEP SACK! My 15 month olds room is usually 68 degree. She wears cotton 2 piece long sleeve pajamas with no feet/socks and the sleep sack keeps her warm. No cold feet in the mornings! If it’s expected to be any colder than that in the middle of the night then she wears a short sleeve cotton onsie under her pajamas and she’s good I bought 6-18 months and she has plenty of room. Haven’t washed it yet so I’m not sure if it shrinks. Love the outer fleece because she sleeps on her belly with her hands under her so it keeps her hands warm.

LOVE. Great quality safe sleeping product! The Sleep Nest Teddy is amazing.
We have quite a few cheap and expensive brand sleep sacks that we used with my firstborn, but I saw the Baby DeeDee sleepsacks and thought the snaps on the shoulders alone were worth jumping brands. And I was right. Previously, I preferred the Halo products which are good quality and consistent with safe infant sleep practices as well, but the convenience of not having to thread my baby's arms through the armholes (and God help us all, risk waking him up) puts Baby DeeDee products a solid notch above Halo. Add to that, my second baby prefers to be kept very warmly swaddled and it's now winter. Halo doesn't seem to offer anything nearly as warm as the "2.5 TOG" products that Baby DeeDee offers (they use the same description on all their Amazon listings, which I found a bit confusing at first, but a quick search of their website clarifies which products are which thickness). Seams are very well sewn, outer fleece is soft and fluffy after initial wash (inner layer is fabric), easy to slide high quality zipper and, yeah, the shoulder snaps are so convenient ... I can quickly and easily unsnap, unzip and slip my baby out for a diaper change and feeding and then I just leave the sleep sack open on the crib mattress and return my baby to it when ready without worrying I'm going to wake him. I will be buying more and recommending these as the best of the sleep sacks I've found on the market. Yes, they're a little pricy (I paid about $40), but definitely worth it.

Received a used sleep sack
While this sleep sack is very cute and soft, and seems nice and warm, we received one that had very clearly been used. There was heavy pilling under the arms and on the zipper fabric, and the inside fabric looked like it had been washed. The silver coating had also been scuffed off of the shoulder snaps in places. The packaging that it came in (which was a reusable plastic bag with snaps) looked so scuffed, used and old. It was like it had been tossed around in a storage unit for a long time. For almost $40 I would really expect a new product at the very least. I will update this when I receive the replacement. Edit to update: the replacement sleep sack is new and seems great! It’s thick, soft and cozy and I think baby will love it. I just wish we hadn’t had to deal with the hassle of returning/exchanging the original.

I was sad to learn that Aden & Anais no longer carry their winter weight sleep sacks. I decided to try Deedee, and have been very impressed with the quality. Our daughter despised being swaddled straight from birth, and the small Deedee fit beautifully with room to grow. A very strong zipper with protection at the top, and these are nice, thick, and warm for our cold Canadian winters. The snaps at the top are the most genius thing ever, and make getting Babe in and out a breeze. I wish they came in cute prints, or muslin on the outside, but I’m sure if they did, the price would jump, so I’m okay with plain for a lower price point.

I need something warmer for my baby during the cold season ( we live in Canada) and this is what I found. It works well and keeps my baby warm. I worry that my baby gets cold during the night due to colder nights. When I check on on my baby, he is always warm.

As a mom, I love this sleep sack for its softness, thickness for our slightly cold room, and how easy it is to put this on my toddler while he’s sleeping without waking him up, all thanks to the snap on buttons on the shoulder!!! The sale price was also reasonable given how warm it’s kept my son through the winter. Bonus point - it also kept the bed sheets dry because when my son had a leaky diaper situation, the sack just soaked it up. So it’s gone through many washes and it’s still looking good. Definitely recommend it!
