It works like it says it does. Make sure you drill 1 1/2 inch holes. I broke up a big stone. Made it small enough for a cat 311 to move it

Ordered type 3 and received 2. This is central Oregon and still 25 degrees a night. Ground still frozen. The box gives instructions for drilling etc. but not for mix ratio. I will try when it warms up.

Did not work as advertised, even though directions were followed to the letter. Product actually took almost a week to function, and then just barely. I would not recommend it unless you have a lot of time on your hands.

The hardest part of using this stuff is drilling the holes. Then, mix it with water as directed, pour it in the holes, and wait. Some rocks split overnight, others need two or three days. If the holes are DEEP enough, the entire rock will break; if holes are too shallow, only the top of the rock will crack. But sometimes, that's good enough. Please note: The product is is available in 3 formulations...for use in different temperature ranges. Choose the formula that's right for the temperature of the ROCK, not necessarily the air. Some sellers won't ship type 3 [for cooler temperatures] in high summer for some reason. So we have now a small surplus of type 2. Might have to wait to use it NEXT summer. Product is sealed in plastic, so should keep okay.

This product is good but don't work for me

In our project, we will need to use 4 trackhoes with hydraulic breakers to excavate the rock. Ecobust allows us to do the excavation with less skilled people. (Laborers mixing and pouring grout as compared to track how operators) Also saves equipment from working in harsh conditions. Also would allow more control of sizing the excavated rock to specific dimensions. Benefit for us to be able to do this to make top rap to be used on the project. With how rams, the rock will break to irregular shapes and sizes that may not meet project specification.
