Outstanding cutting board. The best that I have ever owned !

Beautiful cutting board that is very large and thick. It did need some oil to bring out the amazing look of the wood, which you will want to do every so often to keep it in nice shape. Great for large gatherings - cutting and for serving. Amazing product for the price! Nicely packaged as a gift.

This SonderLA Highland Extra Large teakwood cutting board arrived in a nice factory soft foam lined box packed in an Amazon shipping box. It arrived without defect or any warping and undamaged. It measures exactly as advertised at 23"x17"x1.5". The package stated designed in California made in China. It is a big and heavy cutting board and really nice and good quality, expecially for the $87 price delivered. When it arrived, although it states on the SonderLA website it was pre-oiled at the factory, it seemed a little dry so I purchased food grade mineral oil/with natural waxes from the local hardware store and oiled both sides of the board overnight prior to use. It did not absorb the oil too quickly so I don't believe it was too dry, but SonderLA recommends applying oil before first use and I recommend it too. The cutting board turned out awesome, for the price a great purchase. Pics of the board after oiling attached.

This is an excellent heavy duty cutting board! After being well packaged, I easily wiped it down with warm water and set it aside to air dry. Afterwards, I applied 2 coats of quality oil for cutting boards and then a coat of conditioner with beeswax on all surfaces for optimal protection. This also makes it really easy to clean. This is a large piece and the perfect size for all that I do. When I had questions, the company was surprisingly quick to respond. And with their guidance, I have an awesome product that I am proud of. I do recommend this company and their products, and their direction for proper care. This will ensure a clean and protected board that won’t have any offensive smells.

This is an excellent cutting board. My dad cooks all the time but uses a plastic cutting board to cut meat when done and we’ve told him how bad that is. Got him this for his bday and he absolutely loves it. Heavy, sturdy and perfect for him.
