HDMI Male to USB-C Female Cable Adapter with USB C Power Cable

I bought this for my wife to add a larger monitor to her PC. No problems at all!

Works with limitations - no 4k, no audio, no USB hub - only 720P video (if you're okay with that). Connect HDMI in to PS4 and use a standard USB-C data Cable (NOT THUNDERBOLT) and you will get 720P video support on the LG Ultrafine monitor (plug the USB-C into to the "Thunderbolt" input on the Ultrafine). Use Bluetooth audio or connect wired headphones to the controller for audio. Great for a desk setup and if you're not the type to count pixels like me. Hope this helps!

EDIT: My prior review was slagging off this product because of a glitch with Nreal where the top 10% of the screen was shifted to the bottom for some reason. If you're using it with Nreal, this is a known issue *with Nreal*, and is resolved via a firmware update. I went ahead and got the firmware update, and found that the issue was resolved. This product absolutely does its job, and I jumped the gun to assume otherwise. So, why am I leaving it at 4 stars rather than 5? No audio transfer (don't think it can really be helped, due to hdmi to usb c being presumably wonky in that regard), and the box it came in was beaten up and a tad sketchy.

This solved a big headache for me. I can't believe Apple doesn't make this more obvious to idiots like me who just assumes everything that they sell works together. Mac Mini M1 only give one thunderbolt monitor output and 1 HDMI output. It will not run two LG UltraFine 24md4kl without this adapter (be sure to use USB-C cable not the Thunderbolt Cable) You loose some functionality on the Ultrafine running off the HDMI monitor. You'll need an app like Lunar to control the brightness from the keyboard (works great!). Also the USB ports won't work. You'll need to reset the computer to the ability to "scale" "larger text....more space" in Settings > Display. Seems a step back for Mac Mini's to be honest, but at least this device gives a workaround since I have people waiting to use these computers.

This product is a piece of junk if you want to connect your portable monitor (Asus MB16AC in my case) to your PC as a secondary/tertiary monitor. When you use the computer it works just fine, but if you put the computer to sleep, the adapter doesn't know what to do and will disconnect a bunch, causing your windows to move around. This behavior also happens if you have windows put your monitors to sleep after some time. This also happens when the PC is shut down. The adapter just doesn't know what to do when it isn't getting a signal, so it keeps restarting, causing my monitor to flicker and constantly power up and down. I also encountered an issue where if I wanted to run my monitor at 100% brightness, I needed to put a lot of pressure onto the USB power cable because it must be loose inside the adapter housing or something. If I let go, constant restarting of the monitor, probably because the USB cable isn't making good contact without that pressure on it, so it can't supply enough power. This happened with multiple different cables, not just the one that came with it, so it's probably something defective inside the adapter (and looking at other reviews, it seems to be widespread). I'm sure that for some people this product works fine, but for PC users or even Mac users, it will not function like a normal monitor would. At this point I'm better off getting a portable monitor with HDMI input, as I can't find any other product like this that can simultaneously power the monitor and convert an HDMI signal to a DP Type-C signal over one cable (to the monitor). I really wish this was better, but it's practically useless for me.

It works, feels pretty strong, plug and play. I use this cable with a portable screen because my laptop doesn't have thunderbolt port, it just need an USB port as power supply. I also tested it with a Nintendo switch and it works, five stars :) You can also use this adapter with a power bank as power supply, it will work.

NReal AIR AR glasses are getting pretty hype. And with the increase of users, more are trying to find ways to connect them to a PC, PS5, XBox, etc. The Elebase HDMI Male to USB-C Female Cable Adapter is a perfect and better alternative to the official converter. First and foremost, you wont have to wait for overseas transit when after ordering the Elebase. With prime i got it in a coulpe days. Secondly, You can use connect the Elebase to a power source to get pretty much infinite use of your NReal Airs. I laid in bed playing Video games sourced from my PC with the Elebase setup with the NReal Airs. THIS PART IS IMPORTANT FOR NREAL USERS. Out of the box, the nreal airs wont work perfectly with the Elebase due to differing protocols. Meaning, the picture you will get will be a shifted screen. Where the top of the image will clip and show up on the bottom of the screen. This is both annoying and disorienting. SOLUTION - UPDATE YOUR NREAL FIRMWARE! You can find it on the official NReal website, but Its a little tricky to get there so here is a step by step: Go to the NReal main site. Scroll down to support and click on it. Once in support, scroll down to NReal AIR, Activation and Update Click on the blue Activation and Update link Follow the step by step directions. Once updated, connecting your NReal Airs to the Elebase with an HDMI source (Such as your PS5, PC, or any other HDMI source) will produce a perfect, NON SCREEN SHIFTED image.

Awesome HDMI to USB-C converter. This one works perfectly. I used it to plug a Chromecast to USB monitor, justed a added HDMI 2.0 Extender Coupler Female to Female and bingo!!

Muy útil cuando tienes un monitor portátil con entrada usb c, pero la pc o laptop no tiene salida de video por usb c, funciona perfecto, incluso si conectas algún dispositivo con salida hdmi y no cuentas con un monitor normal con hdmi, podrás conectar el monitor portatil, a fuerzas necesitas alimentar el adaptador con voltaje de 5 volts con micro usb

Nickel ! Permet de connecter un écran supplémentaire ne disposant que d'un port USB-C à partir d'un ordinateur ne disposant que d'une sortie HDMI. Plug & play, sans souci ! :-)
