Just what I needed
A barn door for a bathroom needs a decent lock and one that can be opened from the outside in an emergency. This lock does exactly what I needed. It was easy to install. We put the lock very close to one side on the plunger so that we have very little slop in the door when the lock is engaged. The lock has lots of adjustments to make it fit just right on a wide range of doors.It also looks very cool and matched well with my barn door pull handle.

I do not recommend
I do not recommend this. I ordered the gold one and it has plastic parts. Very cheap plastic parts. I am not happy with it.
