Great tank

My SiL had fish, he started out with a smaller tank and moved up to a huge tank that took up half a wall. As the fish died off, he was working out of town and I took over the fish care. We only had 1 fish and didn't need the 100 gallon tank. So I got this 6 gal and it's perfect! Its nice to look at and much easier to care for. Very quiet, easy to clean. The only thing I have trouble with is turning off the light. I haven't read the "instructions" lol because I hate that stuff. I'm sure it says how to, and I will have to read it. But right now Rocco and I are okay with it. Great price too.

So I’ve had this tank for just over 3 years. What I do like is the column design and small footprint. What i don’t like is that filter that comes with it isn’t very powerful to cycle the depth of the tank. Also the light is far too dim. I replaced both with a stronger filter (go for a 10+ gallon filter) and I went with a bar LED light with a timer that I stuck in the top lid. The lid broke a couple years ago on one side of the ‘hinge’ so I just set it on top and it still works. I did contact Koller to buy a replacement lid but they don’t offer replacement parts and they told me just to buy a new one which isn’t going to happen. The plastic column design warps the view of fish as well. I wouldn’t put more than a few small fish (guppies, tetras, mollys) and a snail or two. All in all it’s an okay beginner tank but expect to replace a few things out of the box to make it way more functional. For the high price ($65) I would instead get a Top Fin ‘Facinate’ column tank instead. It’s far superior on many levels and will last a much longer time. UPDATE: The pump came back on and has been running perfectly 24/7. The customer service was satisfactory after way too many back and forth emails. I now have a backup pump. 👍🏻 I love the aquarium but I’ve had it less than a month and the pump stopped working. I run the pump on for 39 minutes every day then unplug it because I don’t need it to run continuously. It was working when I unplugged it and then wouldn’t turn back on. I’m currently waiting for the seller respond to my request for a replacement pump. I will update once I have contact with them.

perfect for biginers

Received this fish tank and the filter pretty much immediately stopped working. Contacted Amazon support, was unable to contact the seller through them. The seller is just unavailable due to website being down. Since we can’t contact the seller for a replacement, Amazon reps want me to dismantle my entire tank to send the whole thing back. Don’t buy this. The tank is cool. The filter is garbage. The seller doesn’t care. Don’t buy this.

Filter didn’t work out of the box. Rest of the tank is great. Company should adjust for a good all around product. Seems consistent with reviews.

So far so good - I honestly don’t know much about fish. I got this tank because I saved a minnow from becoming catfish food. All I had to put him in originally was a very small container, and didn’t plan to become a fish parent so it was important that I find something on a budget. I can’t say much about the filter quality yet, but I also added a $10 aerator that I found on Amazon as well. Added some rocks and fake plants and so far, this sick little fish seems much happier. I got the 6 gallon, and I love the size. The cylindrical shape takes up less table top space while still giving the fish space to swim. The lighting affect is cool & looks really nice as well.

This is a beautiful way to view your fish. The cylindrical shape and height enhance the view. Love it.
