This mouse was everything I didn't want... until I tried it.
I went crazy for a few weeks trying to find a suitable replacement mouse for my recently retired Microsoft Intellimouse Pro. I tried a LOT of different mice looking for something that was similar to that mouse, so a bit on the heavier, larger side and with an ergonomic shape. After trying to satisfy myself with a Zowie EC-1 that gave me a rash and an Fantechs XD5 that was close enough but just too small, I had narrowed it down to the Pwnage Ultra Custom Ergo and the EndGame Gear XM1r. At first, it seemed like an incredibly close match, but was leaning towards the Custom Ergo. I really liked the ergonomic shape of the Custom Ergo and I appreciated the approach to customization with swappable plates, customizable weight options and varying feet/glide sizes. Thing is, when I tried the XM1r, everything I thought I wanted went right out the window. Here was this smaller, lighter symmetrical mouse that felt SUPER comfortable and snappy. I was almost shocked with how much I liked the shape and feel of the mouse even though I had thought for so long that I could only enjoy an ergonomic mouse. There's something about this one that even though it's symmetrical, it still has a comfortable curve to it that lets you rest your ring and pinky finger. It also manages to be smaller and lighter than my Intellimouse while still feeling like it has weight (and without using annoying honeycomb holes to make it lighter). The biggest thing to get used to out of the box was the lighter actuation force required to activate the right click. My hand twitches from time-to-time, so I had a bit of a problem with accidentally right clicking when I didn't mean to. I was able to learn around this though and I now rest my hand a bit differently to compensate in a way that feels still absolutely natural. Another thing I very much appreciate is the driver-less configuration. Of course, you can still download a program from EndGame Gear's website (and Discord) to adjust DPI presets and install firmware updates, but it's not absolutely necessary. If you are comfortable with 400, 800, 1600 or 3200 dpi, you will be absolutely fine never downloading a single thing. One thing I do wish about the software though is that the mouse could save your custom presets internally, so if you unplugged it and plugged it into something else you could maintain the custom DPI you set. I understand why it doesn't work that way, but it would be a nice thing to see with future updates or revisions to the lineup. People may criticize the lack of RGB and other flashy features, but I think the design is nice and understated. I appreciate a product that can still look and feel great without having all of the bells and whistles slapped onto it just to appease the general crowd. I did want to get the see-thru model when I was purchasing mine, but it was in stock for $10 more so I settled on the normal black instead. It's still super nice and feels great either way, so I am fine with my choice. Absolutely recommended to lovers of symmetrical mice and even to Intellimouse/ergo die-hards! You might be just like me and find something that absolutely subverts your expectations in a really pleasant way.

Great lightweight mouse for gaming
The mouse itself is perfect, but since its kind of old, the software doesnt function as intended, but it really doesnt make a difference Great pickup for the price

Wow.....just......wow!
My new main. The Razer Viper has been my main mouse since it dropped last year I have tried many gaming mice since and always come back to the Viper. It is the one mouse that I always come back too. I was happy with my Viper and still am. But me being a gaming enthusiast, I’m always looking and checking things out. I have tried dozens of gaming mice and the Viper has fit me perfect in every way. I never thought another mouse would match that. But the XM1 has matched it and might have even beaten it..... First I will say that I play with a relaxed claw grip ( my hands are roughly 21cm long/11 wide ). With that being said the shape of the mouse is phenomenal! Top of the line. Very similar to the viper is terms of feel. The clicks feel great and very responsive. Absolutely no pre travel before actuation. No mouse 1 or 2 wobble as well. The scroll wheel is tight and feels very, very good with solid clicks as well ( Roccat still is king of the scroll wheel imo). Side buttons are great and easy to click but not too easy for accidental clicks. They are rounded so they stick out a tiny bit. The paracord on the mouse is great an better then most aftermarket ones you can purchase. Build quality feels amazing. Feels like it will last for years and years to come. The finish on the mouse is great it is very grippy. Does not cause hand sweat like a glossy mouse but does give the grip of a glossy mouse. 70 grams of pure OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH YEAHHH! My Kovak scores have gone up with this mouse by almost 4% on average. My flicks in CS:GO have been consistent and deadlier then ever. Tracking and movement is silky smooth with the feet ( using the MP510 mousepad from cooler master which is goated completes this) Also the software is very simple to use but not needed which is always great. This is now my new main mouse to go to when I am gaming. It has everything I am looking for in a mouse. Comfort: 10/10 Mouse 1&2: 10/10 Scroll Wheel: 8/10 Side Buttons: 9/10 Feet: 10/10 Paracord: 9/10 Would I recommend this to anyone? 10/10 Hell to the yeah. Quite possibly my Endgame mouse ( perfectly named)

I can tell this is a fantastic mouse, but it's just not for me.
I upgraded from a G203 that started double-clicking after just two months, other than that, the mouse felt fantastic. I really appreciate the XM1r's build quality, simple software, and packaging. The mouse wheel feels great, and I love the cable. However, there's one issue for me: it feels uncomfortable. As a palm grip user, the size of the mouse feels too large, and the clicks are a bit too stiff. I noticed this almost immediately. It's a shame I had to return it because I can tell the build quality and precision are top-notch.

Great Mouse!
There is a reason why so many people swear by this mouse, especially in the /mousereviews subreddit. This is probably the most comfortable mouse I've ever used. I have 18x10cm hands, but I usually prefer smaller mice. The XM1 is a medium size mouse. I use a fingertip grip with this mouse. I'd say the length is a little long, but the width is perfect. The length of the mouse sometimes makes it a little harder to do up and down motions in fps games because the back of the mouse might hit your palm. Not so much of an issue if you do claw or palm. It also depends on how you claw it. The weight comes in around 70 g, which is perfect for me actually. Not too light, not too heavy. Actually feels lighter than it is when you use it. The shell is covered in a smooth coating. It kind of creates a feeling of quality. However, if your hands are smooth, your fingers might slip. I recommend taping on some extra grip for even more control. Clicks are pretty good. Not too stiff or sensitive. The side buttons on the side of the mouse are a little high for me. I'd prefer them a little lower, but at least you won't accidentally hit them. Sensor is top notch. Tracks everything very accurately. I haven't used a sensor as good as this one before. The software is lightweight, but I prefer it that way. This mouse is one of my top three favorite mice. Would recommend for everyone to own a copy.

Incredible mouse for video editing
I'm a video editor, and this is the best mouse I've ever owned. Super fast, comfortable, I use it for literally 10-12 hours a day. Big fan! If you're also an editor, consider mapping "J" and "L" to the two buttons on the side. This fuction alone saves me an incredible amount of time while editing so that I don't have to take my hand off the mouse to fast forward or go backwards in the timeline. Bonus: it is also fantastic for gaming. Only caveat: I got the white version and it is turning yellowish over time. If I could go back, I would probably go with black, though the white did look awesome when I first got it.

From someone who has used almost every major, and unknown, brand mouse - this is it...
I have used over 2 dozen mice, in all shapes and sizes, all sensor types, all models and brands (even the brands that only exist on the internet and are small batch made), and the Endgame Gear XM1 really lives up to its name. For a company who has made almost no competitive gaming mice relative to its competition in the market, it is abundantly clear that they 100% did their research, took their time and due diligence in designing this mouse. It has been said the shape was designed by the original designer of the Steelseries Sensei infamous shape, and I say infamous because the shape has been copied and reproduced countless times by countless brands because of its simplicity and appeal by the masses and choosy users. Of all the original and clones of the Sensei, this is 100%, hands down the best (if you want to know which I think comes closest - it is the Nixeus Revel - for those who would like a more budget friendly version of something similar). For reference, mice I have heavily used previously and owned over the years include the Logitech G Pro Wireless (and the old wired G Pro with G203/305 shape), G403/G603, G900, G502, several of the major Sensei inspired designs including the Nixeus Revel (my previous main), DM1 FPS 3389 edition, Steelseries Kana and Sensei; the Zowie EC2-B, FK1, and the Roccat Kone Pure Owl Eye (my close second favorite and main prior to using the XM1 and a close second to my old main, the Revel). Shape/Design: (5/5) The shape is perfect for small to medium-medium/large hands and users of Claw and Fingertip grip. I would personally suggest the XM1 is too small and low profile for a palm grip user but it can certainly be done with a smaller hand size around 16-17cm (I personally always suggest ergo mice shapes for palm users anyway, which the XM1 is not). The subtle design cues such as the inward sloping sides that taper inward as you move forward make for a glove like fit in the hand that is effortless to pick up off the mousepad and reposition. Its 70 gram weight is light and aids in this effortless lifting and repositioning action common to FPS game types, and importantly its weight is perfectly balanced and centered. Unlike many other mice I have used, the XM1's balance point rests right at the fulcrum of your thumb so it never feels like it is sagging to one of the ends when lifted, this is very very important detail that most mice companies dont seem to consider. Also some may think 70grams is "heavy" in the age of the ultralightweight mouse race, but I have used mice from 50g feathers to 120g bricks, and I really believe for MOST users who play on a low/medium-to-medium sensitivity, a mouse requires a certain bit of weight for your to *feel* the small microflicks, it gives your movements a type of bounce which aid in development of muscle memory. Mice below 60g feel so weightless in my opinion that you almost lose that sense of "connection" between your hand and your crosshair on your screen. 70g is perfect in my opinion. Also, the sharp downward slope of the shape going from back to front after the hump makes it so that the buttons where you rest your M1/M2 finger tips for clicking are very LOW to the mousepad relative to other mice. I am of the opinion this really helps with precise aiming especially for claw and fingertip grip users, and the XM1 are some of the lowest profile primary buttons Ive tried, love this feature. Sensor/Software: (4/5) The sensor is a PixArt 3389 and it is implemented perfectly and is perfectly centered along the mouse's length, and also lines up perfectly with the users likely thumb position (this is important for a natural feeling of control of the sensor). The 3389 is considered the best sensor available on the entire market, and I have to agree. I have used Logitech's new HERO sensor on multiple mice, and they claim this is on par with the performance of the 3389, but I personally cannot agree. Although the two sensors to most users will present negligible difference, to me the HERO felt artificially smoothened and not quite as "snappy" as the 3389. For people who are used to using the previous standard "best sensor on the market", the PMW 3360, this is just as good and in fact feels "snappier" and more responsive just slightly, but again this is all based on my own personal feel and judgement. During my first use of the mouse I noticed slight tracking errors from simple left to right (or vice versa) steady movement, but it went away following an upgrade in the firmware found on the XM1's site as well as a different mousepad. Could be either but kudos to EG to keeping up improving their mouse. The software is good enough, does what you want it to in the most bare bones way possible but is better than bloated crap like Swarm or Synapse. I would prefer the ability to add or remove DPI levels other than the mandated 4. Also adjustable LOD is a nice touch more mice need to use. Clicks: (5/5) The best, simply put. I have always checked off great feature after great feature on mice I have been really high on until I got to their subpar clicks. The XM1 uses, and I quote, "pre-sorted high quality JAPANESE Omron switches rated for up to 50M clicks". In an age when every company is cutting costs to increase profits, the Chinese made 20M omron switches have become popular and a source for a great deal of bugs, double clicking errors, and general "cheap" tactile feeling/feedback during use. These 50M Omrons are the real deal, the crisp and light click reminds me of older more revered Logitech mice and are some of the best I've ever used. Credit to EG for going the extra mile with these premium switches, they make a big difference. Coating/Esthetics: (3.5/5) The coating is a matte black, slightly rubberized texture plastic shell coating. It is a standard feel you would expect from a non-glossy mouse and has adequate grip and texture for picking up the mouse without any slipping. The downside is this particular coating is an absolute fingerprint magnet, more oily finger residue visible on the mouse than any other I have used in the past. That being said this does not affect my opinion of the mouse personally and it doesnt bother me but I can see some clean freaks and obsessive types disliking this. As for esthetics, the mouse has almost no frills or features like RGB, lighting etc which many popular mice are loading up on. Personally I like this as it adds a "sleeper" tone to the mouse, the understated nature of it is all business and nothing unnecessary for sake of "cool", I personally like this but some may not. Overall the Endgame Gear XM1 is without a doubt one of the best mice I have ever used or owned, it is one I will always give as a top recommendation for almost all users, and is well worth every penny. If you are considering this mouse even slightly, stop what you are doing and order it. You wont be disapointed, the mouse lives up to its name. Endgame.

Okay quality
I feel like this mouse's grip is for certain hands, it feels too shallow and close to the surface of my desk. The sensor on this mouse feels mediocre and the polling rate of it is not that good.
