Form, fit and Function... ...Fantastic!!
I needed to replace the bearing hub, a part that sits behind the rotor/brake system. My mechanic quoted me at $900+ to replace the two front bearing hubs. I checked YouTube and realized that I could probably do the work myself. I went ahead and purchase the Detroit Axle - Pair 2WD Front Wheel Bearing Hub Assembly for 99-06 Chevy Silverado Sierra 1500... for my 2004 GMC Yukon XL as well as the Detroit Axle brake kit in case I needed to replace the rotors/disc pads while I was in there. I received the parts but was concerned whether or not they were the correct ones and I wouldn't know until I put the SUV on the lift and took the tires off. When I got to the shop and removed the tires, I noticed that the parts looked identical. I removed the rotors and compared them to the ones that I had received and they were identical. I then removed the bearing hub and put the new one in and that too was a perfect fit/replacement. I replaced the bearing hub and the rotors/brakes on the other side as well. I drove the SUV around for a few miles and the bearing hubs functioned perfectly. The noise was gone from the bearing that had been wearing down. It took me four hours to replace the brakes/hubs but it was well worth it. I save about $700 doing the bearing hubs myself and I have the peace of mind that it went in properly and I don't have that "ripped off" feeling you sometimes get from mechanics. I would purchase Detroit Axle parts again from this seller.

Quality Products
Bought these last year (2025), I just have got around to installing them on my 2000 Blazer 2wd. Very easy to replace and was needed. Ever since replacing them the whine has gone away. Detroit Axle has really great quality parts and they were suggested to me by a trusted friend. I will definitely continue to support this company. Well worth the money.

No more ABS light on my 2000 Dodge Durango
When my mom decided to sell her old Durango that I had done all the maintenance on (from oil changes to changing the timing chain, rebuilding the transmission, and so on), I bought it from her because I was quite used to it. The only thing I didn't do was change the bearing assembly, which she took to a shop to do. They had the truck for quite some time and kept ordering the wrong part, the assembly that fit but didn't have the abs sensor ring on it. After far too long without a vehicle, she agreed to let them just install what they had. As expected, the ABS light has been on since and the ABS has not been working. I decided since a mechanic couldn't get the part right, I would take it to another mechanic and let them deal with getting and installing the right part. This new mechanic quoted me around $250 per side just in parts and then labor would have added more to that. I would have been looking at at least $650 for that replacement. This mechanic also said he didn't quite know for sure which part my truck needed (after keeping it for a week to scan it and look into it) because he was sure it couldn't have had 4 wheel abs because there should be a wire coming out of each hub. I told him no, there are only 3, one in he back axle and one in each of the front tires next to the hub itself. So, I decided to take a look and see what was so difficult about finding the right part for this truck. Honestly, I still can't figure out what made it so hard for them to figure out what this truck needed. It took me about 30 seconds to find these parts on Amazon from a seller I have purchased suspension and similar parts from and knew I could trust. Big difference is the price and warranty; the shop I went to quoted me at least $500 in parts and i would have come with a 3 year warranty. Here online, these parts cost around $102 and came with a 10 year warranty. 1/5 the cost and more than 3 times the warranty coverage. Yeah, when I saw that and saw how easy the process was, I didn't go back to the shop. You can see in the picture the assembly that has soot on it, the old one, has none of the ABS teeth or ring for the sensor to read. The clean assembly clearly does. In the video, you can see how those teeth move past the sensor to help the ABS sensor work to stop you without locking up the tires. This was an extremely easy fix, in fact, taking the wheel off was the most difficult thing to do. Once installed, I unplugged the battery for a moment and plugged it back up, and within about 10 feet of driving, the ABS light went off. I never even got it up to speed and off it went, hasn't come back on. I did test the ABS and it actually works better than it used to. So now, once again, no more lights on the dash. I couldn't be happier. This was the perfect fit and fix for my 2 wheel drive 2000 Dodge Durango with 4 wheel ABS. Make sure you also purchase new spindle (axle) nuts as you can't reuse those, and I bought a new torque wrench to make sure I torqued everything to specs (185 ft lb for the spindle nut).

High quality and perfect fit!
"I bought these Detroit Axle wheel hub bearings as a replacement, and I couldn't be happier. The build quality is excellent and they feel very heavy-duty. They were a direct fit with no issues during installation. The car drives much smoother and quieter now. It's a great deal compared to local auto parts store prices."

Good quality products for the price but check for damage as soon as you get it.
I've gotten plenty of Detroit Axle brake parts before and one front end rebuild kit. The front end rebuild kit lasted as long as I thought it would (ball joints slightly loose after 18 months of hard daily driving) but the brakes have never let me down and been great in quality. These, however, came damaged. One of the bearings had the wheel speed sensor broke off where it bolts onto the hub assembly. Luckily, I could remove the broken wheel speed sensor and extremely luckily one of the wheel speed sensors on the hubs I was replacing came out. I popped the old sensor into the new hub and no abs light. If I was a regular driveway warrior I might not have had the gumption or knowledge to swap an old sensor in. Also, weird note, one hub came in a Detroit Axle box and the other came in a plain brown box with a different language on it. Not a big deal, I'm aware these are coming from China, ignorance is bliss sometimes though.... As for the hubs themselves, they seem to be great quality and have given me no issues (other than the sensor being broke right out of the box.) The bearings I replaced made it 370,000 mi, if these make it a fraction of that I'll still be happy because for the price I can afford to replace them again.

Only 1 wheel bearing arrived when the ad clearly states it’s a PAIR of 2. Dissapoint to say the least. Box arrived all smashed up.
