Worth the experience.
If you enjoy a mild coffee flavor, this is for you. The beans are light in color and at first, the aroma, to me, was a little off, but it is such a mild coffee bean that I have decided that is the reason. There is certainly an undertone of chocolate. In the smell and the taste. I had read where these beans are hard to find, yet I found them on Amazon. I do believe they are grown only in the Philippines. I ground a batch for my French Press, so that would be a coarse grind. Not impressed at all. I, then, ground a finer batch for the drip machine. I highly recommend that one for these beans. Use a medium grind and set your coffee maker to BOLD. It made a very nice cup of coffee. I probably will not purchase these beans again as I do prefer a much stronger cup of coffee, but I am trying out coffee beans and this was a good experience.

A new experience
It seems to be a lighter roast with a crisp, breakfast blend style flavor. It's good, but not my favorite flavor profile. I'm glad that I bought it though, and got to try real Filipino coffee. I recommend to people who like to try new things.

Fair flavor
Not quite what I was looking for but still a good coffee. Would I buy it again maybe but right now I have had enough of it. Richard

Liberica?
The bag says it contains a "blend" of different coffee beans. Nothing about Liberica beans. The taste is OK, but the beans are not particularly fresh but rather quite dry.

Great Filipino Coffee!
The coffee is as advertised. The packaging indicates that it is Barako coffee and has region of origin identification for Philippines. These are uncommon, endangered liberica coffee beans.

Are these beans really Liberica
VERY disappointed I purchased this bag of coffee to try Liberica beans, which are listed as larger than Arabica or Robusta, almond shaped and "fruity" in aroma. These beans are none of the above. The beans are the size and shape of small dried peas and there is no unique aroma.
