The design might be simple, but it works. Its size is as stated. The hinge isn't stiff, nor does it squeak, and while I personally wouldn't have gone for a glass panel on the underside/added some extra reinforcement there, it works well enough as it is. The acrylic panel doesn't have the same sheen as glass, but that's a minor aesthetic detail, and worth it to be able to close the lid but still have ventilation. It came with some stick-on feet to keep the glass base off whatever you're placing it on, and they were easy enough to apply. The glass itself isn't as scratch-resistant as most modern phones, which is something you will have to keep in mind if you're using metal tweezers and/or adding in stones/rocks, but the overall construction feels fairly sturdy. The latch doesn't allow for locking, despite initially looking like it would. The little metal prop to prop open the lid is a thoughtful addition, although its place inside the terrarium when closed could potentially cause you some issues if you have anything too high in that particular corner. Overall, a good product! It even came with some little decorative stick-on ladybirds, which was delightful.

Looks great and very well made. There's no leaks at the lower joints, hinges move smoothly, and the little latch aligns perfectly. Holes in the roof are as described and provide sufficient air. The gap between hatch and wall is ~1.5mm max. My little critters are loving their new home!

I added some sand, a few rocks and some plants and my terrarium looks great! I think the quality is great as well, especially considering the price.

Bought for some garden snails with broken shells, perfect for them along ith the necessary bedding. Even put some live plants in and moss and they are thriving. Seems pretty sturdy so far, little latch for locking, very pretty, no scratches so far, well ventilated but still keeps in humidity well, no assembly needed, came as shown, clear glass easy to clean, nice size to fit on a window sill.

Just came today.bigger than I thought but husband already doing his plants. Great value for money and very good quality.
