Purchased to cut out the bottom of my porta filter in my espresso machine. I have an old Simonelli with e61 group head. Removed the spout at the bottom of the filter in a vice. This cutter had a guide bit in the center, which helped positioning the cut. These portafilters are solid brass? But the cutter went through cleanly with just a cordless Makita drill. Modifying an old portafilter this way was much cheaper than buying a new bottomless one, and this modification removed the worst bits of stain in the old one.

Great whole saw

I used it to drill a hole through a metal ikea cabinet base and it worked great, even with my crappy low powered drill. It got the job done and didn’t seem to dull at all.

Everything you need to install the Doors cope DOO 2000 peep hole in your door. Only thing you have to supply is the electric drill. This kit comes equipped with a center bit of 1/4" size for the pilot hole. I have no previous experience using hole saws but had no trouble making the required hole. My only problem is, the wood block drilled out by the metal blade is most thoroughly stuck in the saw blade itself, and I have no idea how to remove it if I ever want to use it again.

A useful tool at a good price.
