My dog has gastrointestinal issues (vomit and/or diarrhea) every four months or so. Here’s what has worked for us: I fast my dog for a few hours at the first onset. Then I use this product, with under the weather’s bland food product fed in frequent small amounts…1 oz per hour to start. 2-3 hours after his first bland food I give him 1 oz of pumpkin in addition to the bland food, and repeat that every hour as well. Then I slowly increase amount and frequency of food as symptoms get better. Followed by a gradual transition back to regular food. I always make sure he’s getting sufficient calories by weighing each day’s meals in the AM. ChatGPT can help with the feeding amount calculations and schedule! This product and routine has worked so well for my dog’s gastrointestinal issues, and I highly recommend! Our little dog has an ACL tear. She’s waiting for surgery so they put her on a painkiller/anti-inflammatory med with an additional pill to help her with nerve sensitivity. The meds did their job well, but definitely effected her appetite and was soon to start seriously irritating her tummy. On the third day which was a Saturday and the start of a three day holiday weekend our little dog woke up with diarrhea and bright red blood (not drops, enough blood that we had to clean her up afterwards) in her watery stool. We were unable to take her to an ER and the Dr. could not be reached. We started her on “Under the weather”. It’s now Monday “Memorial Day”. I purchased this product to have on hand when my dogs have diarrhea. It's now in the trash. I used as directed for my 85 pound German Shepherd that had diarrhea. I mixed it with his food. That night, he began vomiting. The following morning, he was lethargic, drooling, and started to become off balance. Luckily his symptoms subsided within 12 hours. But it was extremely scary to see my little guy in this condition. The only thing that I could associate his symptoms with were this product. I'm sticking with rice and boiled chicken from now on for his diarrhea.

I don’t want to give it a bad rating because results do vary from dog to dog, but it did not work for mine. I bought it to hold us over til her vet appointment, but I feel it only made her diarrhea symptom worse. Turns out she’s developed an intolerance to chicken after nearly 4 years of having it in her diet! So our vet prescribed Hill’s prescription diet+probiotics and we completely cut out chicken from her diet. She’s doing great, so if your pup is struggling, definitely look into what they’re eating. The product does smell kinda funky and it’s very liquid-y, I was expecting it to be a slightly thicker consistency, like Pepto-Bismol. Also, it doesn’t come with a syringe. That would be nice to include since not every dog will eat their food if something new is added to it.
