This is a great find! Really does keep the avo fresh. I can use 1/4 on breakfast and the avocado stays good the whole time. Of course there is a small amount of darkening but just scrape it off with a knife and away you go. I liked it so well I bought one for my daughter.

So, let me explain my picture - .I had doubts but decided to try it anyway. Got tired of throwing away 1/2 avocados that I didn't use in time before they turned brown. I usually wrap the other half in foil (works better than plastic wrap). So, I put the avocado in the container and took it out the next day.. it was brown! I was so upset and was ready to send it back. However, I realized what my mistake was. it doesn't tell you this on the packaging but, looking at the picture on the packaging, I noticed that the avocado was upside down...DUH! Why didn't I realize this? After that, i decided to give it another try the next day. Put the avocado in, took it out the next day - GREEN AND FRESH!!! i'm not sure why that made a difference but it did. - BUT WAIT!!! THERES MORE!!! (This is the part that made me blown away)....I was just cutting an avocado in half and wanted to put the other half in the container...when I couldn't find it...,I realized that it was still in the fridge from before 4th of July! (today is 7/13) I went in the fridge to dig it out and thought...there is no way this is still going to be good...after a almost a week and a half...NO JOKE..I could not BELIEVE IT!!! Still GREEN!!! After 9 days!!! YES YOU READ THAT RIGHT!!! 9 DAYS!! I mean, The very top of the avocado had some browning but what do you expect after 9 days? However, The middle was perfect! The pic shown is of the 9 day old Avocado! Whaaaaaaat? You can see the browning on the very top...the green in the middle on top if what I spooned out of the inside and couldn't believe it so I snapped a pic! So - of you buy this and it doesn't work.. you are doing something wrong - like not putting in the container upside down (pit down to the clear side)

It really makes a difference for the avocado. It lasts much longer in the pod. One aspect that is not so great is that the pod is very small. If it were just a little higher, more types of avocados would fit.

I like avocados 🥑. Sometimes I just need 1/2. I could wrap it, but this works well, for me. I smear a light coating of mayonnaise on the fleshy part & it stays green, for another day. I've used lime juice, as well. Lemon works too. I like when I see it in the drawer, though, that's just me. It won't keep long, but I am reminded it's there. It can be used for tomato 🍅 1/2's, as well. People may think, it's 1 more thing, and it is. I used to have a plain, bubble, clear one, for anything, that I used often. It works for me. **tip** when you make guacamole, stir in a spoonful of mayonnaise, it will curb browning, really. Someone taught me this little secret at a potluck, years ago, & I do it every time, now. It helps.

This container doesn’t close right at all. I made guacamole and it was brown within a couple hours. I would have returned it but I used it for the first time after the return date. Waste of money.

I purchased thismitem for the sole purpose of keeping my avocados fresh however, it disappointed me on this point. First, the size of the item is really small. You could fit a Hass avocado but a larger size one, forget it. Unless you make guacamole, a large avocado will definitely not fit. I was also disappointed that the avocado would still rot just like if you were not using one of these items. Again, for guacamole or any other dips, it would be fine but if you are expecting to use this to prolong the life of your abocado and prevent spoilage, forget it. It will not happen. It is a cute storage tray so for that as well as the price and fast shipping, I give it three stars.

I bought this avocado keeper after trying it at my daughter’s house. It works well and keeps a cut avocado from turning brown. I normally leave the peel on and remove the pit, placing the left-over avocado half face down in the keeper.

Lid snaps on securely, fits avocadoes of all sizes. Was a little nervous given negative reviews but this is the equivalent of a plastic bag but better because it minimizes waste and is really cute!! Bought one for a friend too. Avo does not brown faster than a plastic bag (keeps 2-3 days). Highly recommend!!!!

Avocado's can be expensive, so this little container is money well spent to keep them fresh is you are not eating the entire avocado right away!
