I purchased these as a gift for my father. He isn't a liquor drinker, but he enjoys Coca~Cola, particularly really cold, not watered-down Coca~Cola. He also likes tumblers. So, I got these for him, and he enjoys them. They are quite attractive as well. I also found an excellent bonus use for them. They do a great job helping keep a cooler chilled! I filled a small, hard sided cooler with drinks for a day trip and put the frozen insert in the top. I added a few of the stones to the bottom, and, when I got home in the evening, the insert had long since melted, but the rocks were still cold and remaining drinks were pleasantly cool! Anyway, this makes a fun gift. It is a practical as well as novelty item. The glasses are attractive. The rocks we received came in a variety of shades and colors. The wooden tray is fine, and makes a better presentation than a mesh bag would. However, a mesh bag would probably be more practical for stashing in the freezer. The only true downside to this item is the expense. But, it still remains a good gift for those people who seem to have everything.

I gave these to my grandfather for Christmas last year and we have used them all year round! They keep your drink super cold and the granite rocks are smooth. They add a bit of class to your drink of choice and you look like a true lounger with them in hand. I enjoy the tray that the rocks stay on and we put them right in the freezer, without worrying they will fly all over when the door is shut. The rocks don't chip off into your drink, so do not be worried about that. Perfect as a gift and something they are bound to love!

The Sea Stones on the Rocks, is a nice little set but I feel a revamp is in order. The stones are very cool looking and the wood tray that holds them is a nice touch. However, the stones are way to large for the provided tumblers and are still to big for my other tumblers that I had prior to this. I can safely fit 1 stone per tumbler, which defeats the purpose because I found you need at LEAST 2-3 stones to chill your favorite blend down anyway. When I put 2 stones in the glass I was afraid I'd chip my teeth because of the way the stones sit in the glass. I tried to stack them, sit them side by side, one flat, one on its side, but to no avail. I'd be more than willing to give it another go if the stones were about 2/3 the size they are now, but I just don't see any practical use for these in my bar. I give them 3 out of 5 because the quality is fantastic and the included glassware was a bonus. However, it fails on its true use, chilling drinks.

The Sea Stones are aesthetically pleasing and they accomplish their task: which is to to cool your scotch or whiskey to below room temperature. It will not cool your drink as much as ice will. I think this is a good thing, since most experts agree that scotch whisky should be enjoyed close to room temperature in order not to lose any of the subtle notes in flavor. However, if you want your drink colder, put a tumbler in the freezer before you intend to use it. The combination of the frosted tumbler and the granite chiller makes for a pretty cold drink. Packaging was done well; tumblers were a nice bonus. Be advised that the stones are deeper than they appear in the photograph. They are not very disk-like, more like cylinders that will occupy quite a bit of volume in your tumbler. But since they are aesthetic stones, this is not a detriment. I was happy with my purchase.

I got this for my boyfriend and he absolutely loves it! The stones stay chilled much longer and there isn't any ice to melt into the drink after time. The glasses were simple so I just got them engraved. A great gift and price!

I gave these to my husband as a gift. He really enjoys scotch on the rocks but doesn't like for it to get watered down. These keep it at just the right temperature. The included tray keep them neat and together in the freezer and the included old-fashioned glasses are just the right size for a single pour and are of higher quality than I expected. We've been pleased with these and I liked them enough to buy another set for my dad who is a bourbon drinker. If you're looking for nice whiskey stones, I do recommend these.

The other versions of this can be used as small presents or even stocking stuffers. Their quality can't really compare to these. This version is much nicer quality and can be used as a nice gift. It has a really nice presentation. I think the person I gave this to actually uses them!
